5 star experience! Highly recommend Caleb!!!

This tour is a MUST DO! We cannot say enough good things about Caleb and the tour. We visited 3 very different cenotes and learned so much. The cenotes were beautiful and he timed it so we weren't in any crowds. He was patient with us as we entered the caves and kept us very calm. Loved it all so much. The end of the tour taco stop was amazing - chef's kiss!!!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this amazing review! It truly means a lot to me to know that you enjoyed the experience so much. It was a pleasure sharing the different cenotes with you and making sure you could enjoy them without the crowds. I’m especially happy that you felt comfortable in the caves and trusted me throughout the experience. And I’m glad the tacos were the perfect way to finish the day! Thank you again for your trust and for recommending me and Boutique Tours Mexico so warmly. I hope to see you again on your next visit! Warm regards, Caleb BTM Team

Unforgettable cenote experience

We truly enjoyed the entire experience from beginning to end with our guide, Paul. He took us to three different cenotes, all very different. The second one involved swimming through a system of caves all the while scuba divers were below you exploring as well. It was an unforgettable experience and Paul made it safe, educational, and fun. We had two teens with us who had a fantastic time as well. We jumped off a small cliff into another cenote. We finished the day with delicious tacos in Tulum. 5/5 must do.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! I’m very happy to hear that you and your family enjoyed the experience from beginning to end. It’s great to know that the three different cenotes, the cave swimming, and even the cliff jump made the day so memorable for everyone, especially the teens. I’m also glad you felt safe and comfortable throughout the adventure. And of course, I’m happy the tacos were a delicious way to finish the day! Thank you again for trusting Boutique Tours Mexico and for recommending the experience so warmly. I hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Mexico! Warm regards, Caleb BTM Team

BTM is the ONLY way to tour!

BTM is the only way to tour! I have been on multiple tours with Leo and Jordie. The first time for a girls trip and the second time for a family trip. BTM guides were able to accommodate each group trips to exactly what we needed. When I was there with my friends they matched our vibe and made sure we had so much fun. The second visit was equally as fun, and Leo put so much consideration and care into making sure the kids (7 and 4 years old) had fun too! Leo was absolutely incredible with our kids and they just loved him! We all did! He is so personable and a joy to spend time with. He and all the guides are so knowledgeable about each area they take you too. We also experienced a special lunch with a Myan family and it was delicious! My boys are still talking about how good the food was that we ate during our tours! I have done the Chichén Itzá, Akumal, cenotes and the others in my group have done the Cobá and Punta Allen tours, all 10/10. I really don’t think you could go wrong with any tour, BTM guides will make sure you are taken care of and having a great time! Another amenity that made these tours so relaxing and care free was the transportation. BTM picked up/dropped off at your door. Jose, our driver, was great! We felt safe as he navigated busy/rough Mexican streets all while we got to enjoy the sites and nap between stops. Thank you, BTM!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful review! It truly means a lot to me and to the entire BTM team to know that you’ve trusted us not just once, but for different trips with your friends and your family. It was a real pleasure having you back, and I’m especially happy to hear that Leo and Jordie were able to make each experience feel personal and perfectly suited to your group. Knowing that your boys are still talking about the food honestly makes me very happy! Thank you for trusting us with your friends, your family, and your adventures in Mexico. Having guests return and recommend us to the people they love is one of the greatest compliments we could receive. We’ll be looking forward to your next trip! Warm regards, Caleb BTM Team

Private Cenotes tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does Private Cenotes tour cost?

+

Prices start at $210 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Cenotes tour take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is Private Cenotes tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 154 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Cenotes tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Cenotes tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Cenotes tour?

+

Around 54 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Cenotes tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

+

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Chichen Itza from Cancun : Cenote, Valladolid and Mayan Cuisine, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation, From Playa del Carmen ATV Adventure with Ziplines, Cenote. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
