Traveler reviews
15 verified traveler reviews for Private Boat Tour On Lake Como. Ratings and reviews provided by Viator and Tripadvisor.
Honestly one of the best experiences we had on Lake Como.
We booked a private tour with Carlo and everything was just perfect from start to finish. The boat is beautiful, super clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere on board is exactly what you want when you’re in Como relaxed, fun and a bit luxurious. We cruised past some incredible villas like Villa del Balbianello and Villa Pliniana, stopped for photos, had prosecco on board and just enjoyed the moment without any stress. We also asked to stop at a restaurant along the lake and they handled everything for us. The spot was amazing — great food, stunning view right on the water, and such a special experience arriving by boat. Definitely one of the highlights of the day. What really made the difference was the attention to detail and how easy everything felt. Nothing rushed, everything tailored to us. If you’re thinking about doing a boat tour on Lake Como, just book this. Totally worth it.

Unforgettable Como
An unforgettable way to experience Lake Como. The boat was beautiful and comfortable, and Carlo made the whole tour feel effortless and special. Cruising past the stunning villas and stopping for a delicious lakeside meal made it the perfect mix of relaxation and local charm. Truly a highlight of our trip.

A Perfectly Curated Boat Day
This was truly the highlight of our entire trip to Como! From start to finish, our all-day tour was exceptional. Carlo was professional, attentive, and clearly passionate about the area. He guided us past historic villas, showed us hidden gems, and shared stories that brought the lake to life. Mid-day, he steered us to a restaurant with excellent food and incredible vibes. The boat was immaculate — comfortable, well-equipped, and quietly luxurious. If you want a private, beautifully curated boat tour that feels more like a personalized adventure than a standard sightseeing trip, this is it. We can’t recommend this experience enough — unforgettable day!

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Boat Tour On Lake Como: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lake Como.
How much does Private Boat Tour On Lake Como cost?
+
Prices start at $850 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lake Como usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Boat Tour On Lake Como take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lake Como is not rushed.
Is Private Boat Tour On Lake Como worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lake Como, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Boat Tour On Lake Como?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Boat Tour On Lake Como suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Boat Tour On Lake Como?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Como can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Como and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Boat Tour On Lake Como start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lake Como within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lake Como?
+
On Outty we rank every Lake Como experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small-Group Lake Como & Lugano: 2 Countries in 1 Day, Boat Cruise, Como, Bellagio & Varenna: Small Group from Milan with Boat Cruise, Small-Group Lake Como: Bellagio, Varenna, Hidden Gorge & Boat. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lake Como?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lake Como?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
