    Great Day for Family

Traveled to Sydney with my family - party of 6 including two young children and two senior citizens. We didn’t want to rent a car so we decided to book this private tour. Joseph was our tour guide and he was fantastic. We were conveniently picked up and dropped off right at our hotel instead of having to travel to a separate meeting place which was good for grandma. He was knowledgeable and patient answering my kids’ questions. We went to Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park where we got to feed kangaroos and touch and take a photo with a koala. We specifically wanted to go here versus other zoos because it featured Australian animals and is easily walkable. Joseph recommended the best places to sit and stand on the cable cars at Scenic World to get good photos and views. He showed us which trees were eucalyptus and tea tree and we were able to smell the oil by rubbing the leaves together. We enjoyed our tour and were very comfortable in the van. Had a wonderful time for our first full day in Sydney!

Response from the operator: Hi Lilxgem, Thank you so much for taking the time to share this! We're thrilled to hear that your family had such a fantastic first full day in Sydney. It’s always a bit of a balancing act traveling with a group of six, especially with young kids and grandparents so we’re really glad the hotel pick-up and comfortable van made the day smooth and easy for everyone. Joseph will be delighted to hear your kind words! He loves sharing those little hands-on details like smelling the eucalyptus leaves, and he'll be happy to know his tips at Scenic World helped you capture great views. Feeding the kangaroos and meeting the koalas at Featherdale is always a highlight, and we're so glad it fit your family's pace. We truly appreciate you choosing Ausguides, and we hope to welcome you all back to Australia again in the future! Warmly, Issa

Private Featherdale Wildlife Zoo and Blue Mountains

The tour was a wonderful experience and well worth the money spent, also thanks to the excellent guide Joseph who would answer any questions very knowledgably in perfect and very clear and distinct English which was easy to understand even for a non-native speaker like me. He was very friendly and helpful throughout the day trip, giving advice on the best way of taking photos and allowing enough time at every stop to fully enjoy it.

Response from the operator: Hi Ilses, Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear that you had a wonderful experience and found the tour worthwhile. It’s especially great to know that Joseph’s clear communication, friendliness, and knowledge made your day even more enjoyable—he always strives to ensure our guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. We’re also glad you had enough time at each stop and were able to fully enjoy the experience (and capture some great photos along the way!). We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again on another tour in Issa

Great Service, Great Guide, Great Experience

I had a wonderful experience on the private Blue Mountains tour organized by Ausguides. From the very beginning, the booking process was smooth and efficient. The team was responsive, helpful, and ensured everything was clearly arranged before the trip, which made the whole experience stress-free. A special thanks to our driver and guide, Joseph, who truly made the day memorable. Joseph was extremely knowledgeable about the region and shared interesting insights throughout the journey. He also did a great job helping us manage the crowds at popular spots, which allowed us to enjoy the views without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. What stood out the most was how flexible and thoughtful he was with the itinerary. Joseph happily customized the schedule based on what we enjoyed the most and even gave us extra time at places we particularly liked. That personal touch made the tour feel relaxed and tailored just for us. Overall, it was a fantastic experience—well organized, informative, and very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Ausguides to anyone planning a Blue Mountains trip, and I especially hope you get Joseph as your guide!

A great guide, ask for Luke James

Our guide Luke James made this trip so special. He was knowledgeable and very professional but more than that, he truly loved the sights, the nature, and the animals. He would make it easy for us. He would put us in position for the best experience. He took our pictures and texted them back to us. We couldn’t ask for more. A great guide.

Response from the operator: Hi Gina, thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re so happy to hear Luke James made your Blue Mountains trip so special. Luke will be thrilled to know his knowledge, professionalism, and genuine love for the sights, nature, and wildlife really came through. We’re also glad he helped make everything easy—getting you into the best spots for the experience and capturing photos for you to keep. PRIVATE Blue Mountains Scenic World Australian Wildlife & Cruise: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.

How much does PRIVATE Blue Mountains Scenic World Australian Wildlife & Cruise cost?

    +

Prices start at $211 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does PRIVATE Blue Mountains Scenic World Australian Wildlife & Cruise take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.

Is PRIVATE Blue Mountains Scenic World Australian Wildlife & Cruise worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule PRIVATE Blue Mountains Scenic World Australian Wildlife & Cruise?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is PRIVATE Blue Mountains Scenic World Australian Wildlife & Cruise suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book PRIVATE Blue Mountains Scenic World Australian Wildlife & Cruise?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does PRIVATE Blue Mountains Scenic World Australian Wildlife & Cruise start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sydney?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sydney?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sydney?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
