Wonderful private snorkeling and boat tour of Bay of Banderas
We were so fortunate to have Thalia, a trained marine biologist, as our guide for the wonderful private tour exploring the southern side of Bay of Banderas. She aligned the tour with our wishes and capabilities and gave us several alternatives and options. We saw more sea life than we have ever experienced on a snorkeling tour. Highly recommended.

Terrific day on and off the water with Cristina and Captain Jose!
Terrific day on and off the water with Cristina and Captain Jose! She was a great interpreter of what we were seeing and he was a skillful boat-handler. The freedom to really create the kind of day we wanted was much appreciated. This is truly a five-star tour!

Private boat day tour
I booked the 6 hours private tour. The schedule is actually a la carte, as the captain offers a multitude of options and plans the day according to the guests preference. The boat met is at the closest marina (walking distance) and the 3 person crew greeted us on time. The Captain, Andres, the guide/naturist Lisandro and the cameraman, Victor are each great professionals in their disciplines. We opted for whale watching to begin and shortly after departing the port the captain located the first whales, then a few more throughout the day. We opted for a visit to the beautiful village of Yulapa, where we had lunch at a restaurant on the beach (don’t forget to bring money) After we went to a private beach reachable by boat only and snorkeled until it was time to head back to port. Overall great tour with excellent and professional service. Highly recommended!!!
Response from the operator: Dear Bernard, It is with great pleasure that I read your review and share it with Andres, Lisandro, and Victor. All of them mentioned having a great day out with you and your family exchanging ideas, experiences and more. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to spend a morning with you, a special day to make new friends. We hope you had a great ending on this 24th of December, and have it marked as a day to remember for many years. Looking forward to see you in the future, thalia

Private Bahia de Banderas south beaches adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.
How much does Private Bahia de Banderas south beaches adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $675 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Bahia de Banderas south beaches adventure take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.
Is Private Bahia de Banderas south beaches adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Bahia de Banderas south beaches adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Bahia de Banderas south beaches adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Bahia de Banderas south beaches adventure?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Bahia de Banderas south beaches adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Taco Adventure Evening Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
