Amalfi Coast on Vespa is a must!

Vincenzo was my driver for the day and he was absolutely wonderful! Very friendly and went out of his way to accommodate my points of interests and questions. I also learned more about Italian culture from him. The red vespa is beautiful and the drive along the Amalfi coast was an absolute dream. Highly recommend!

Vespa tour from Naples to Amalfi

I give this excursion 3 stars given lack of information, 5 stars on experience because what is not mentioned anywhere is the unbearable traffic jams. Naples, Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi traffic just crawls.. we were 4 hours in a car on a 7 hour journey. There is not a Vespa stop for this particular excursion in Naples. We were picked up by a private car and expected to travel to Sorrento ~60min that turned into 2hrs and because of traffic we skipped Sorrento and diverted to Positano. We met our guides and made a short stop in the town (too short to really enjoy) before heading to Amalfi. We were on cruise and needed to return by 6pm so we needed to allow another 2hrs back to port. So as frustrating as that was., now for the good... 1. We worked with Raffaella from the tour company, he was great and worked hard to accommodate our itinerary request! 2. Our driver, Salvatore was a gem. He spoke little English which allowed me time to use Google Translate and practice my Italian speaking 3. Our guides, Emilio and Valerio. They were great. Emilio was our lead guide and he cared tremendously about ensuring we could see as much of Amalfi with our remaining time. Amalfi was to be the highlight stop for us and while we got to see it, there is just so much to see that our limited time there was just that.. Even so, we had a great time on the Vespa's, in fact its the only way to travel in this area. AVOID CARS IF POSSIBLE as your day will not be pleasant. My wife and I had a great lunch in Amalfi and the Vespa experience is unmatched. You get to see so much and zipping around stuck cars feels rewarding:) Finally, I need to mention 2 very special actions.. 1. The ride back was taking longer so our driver called Emilio as we got nearer the port. 2. Emilio went out of his way to pick us up individually by Vespa to ensure we did not miss the ship. That unselfish act is something that cannot be replaced and why I'd highly recommend this tour by this Company Primavera S.r.l., just not from Naples unless you have ample time. We cannot help but think it is a pity that, despite all of this, you chose to penalize us due to circumstances beyond our control: the local traffic. It is always unfortunate, as we work with dedication, passion, and professionalism for 14 years, and we cannot be held responsible for traffic. We would like to clarify a few details about your tour, which may also be useful for other customers reading the review: - You requested to start the tour an hour and a half later and to shorten it to 5 hours and 30 minutes instead of the scheduled 7 hours, inevitably reducing the time available for the stops; - You asked to add Ravello, which is not normally included in the tour. We informed you that we were happy to accommodate this, but it could only be done by removing the Sorrento stop, a solution you accepted. For this reason Sorrento was not included as discussed in advance, but Ravello was; - The delayed start inevitably affected the schedule and caused us to deviate from the usual timing that is designed to avoid traffic; - The stop in Positano was shorter because, as we had explained, stops in each town would necessarily be shorter due to the changes you requested. The departure was moved to 10:30 instead of 09:00, and the tour duration reduced from 7 to 5 hours to accommodate your boarding time. We are truly sorry that you encountered traffic along the route and understand how this may have affected your overall tour experience. Regarding the traffic and as proof of our commitment, we would like to point out that at the end of the Vespa tour, while you were returning to Naples by car and encountering traffic, we included a Vespa escort, picking you up from the car stuck in traffic and taking you directly to the ship, to ensure you made your boarding time. All in all, we believe we did what was agreed and, to be honest, even more, maintaining the excellence of our service. Nevertheless, we thank you for your contribution :-)

4 girls on a girls trip

4 girls on a girls trip. Our 4 drivers Vincenzo, Emily, Antonio and Salvatore were AWESOME! We had a beautiful day traveling the Amalfi Coast. The Vespa ride was exhilarating and Soo much fun. Our guys were wonderful. This was definitely the highlight of our trip. I highly recommend this tour … do it … it’s a once in a lifetime experience!

Vespa tour of Amalfi coast

Emilio and Vincenzo were excellent!! We had a wonderful day seeing all the towns on the Amalfi coast thanks to them. We added having two drivers at the last minute so we could sit and see the sights instead of worrying about driving and they could not have been more gracious. They went above and beyond to show us a wonderful experience. Can’t thank them enough!
