Great tour

The tour was great! Our family had a great time floating in the river and at the cenote. The tacos afterwards were great too. The guides were very friendly and accommodating!

Unforgettable Memories!

Booked the Akumal turtle swim and cenote tour for a family of four. If you get a chance, definitely opt for the underground cenote in Tulum.  You will see stalactites and bats which is a unique experience.  It was great!  Our tour guide Josh made it amazing!  He knew so many interesting things about where we visited and taught us so much about Mexico.  Josh was also very funny and made the experience memorable.  We can't wait to tour with Josh again!

Response from the operator: Hi! Thank you so much for your amazing review. We’re so happy you enjoyed the turtle swim and the underground cenote — it really is a unique experience. Josh will love reading your kind words. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another adventure! Caleb Boutique Tours Mexico

Snorkeling, Cenote, and Tacos!

The whole family had such a great experience with Josh as our guide! We were very fortunate to have Josh for a second time! He kept us comfortable during the drive, assisted during our snorkeling expedition to find turtles, and even recommended which tacos to try, while placing our lunch order for us! We will definitely tour again with Boutique Tours Mexico and hope to have Josh lead the way again next time!

Response from the operator: Hi! Thank you so much for your kind words. We’re honored you chose to tour with Josh again! Snorkeling, cenote, and tacos make a perfect day — and Josh will be so happy to hear he made it even better. We truly appreciate your trust and look forward to your next visit. Incredible

This was one of the best tours we’ve ever been in. We had the cenoté all to ourselves. Peaceful and magical. In Akumal, we saw so many turtles. And the tacos at then end were the best ever. Caleb made the trip extraordinary. He was kind, informative and made us feel special. Thank you so much!!!.

Response from the operator: Hi! Thank you so much for your beautiful words. I’m truly happy you enjoyed having the cenote to yourselves and seeing so many turtles in Akumal — that’s always a special combination. I’m grateful for your trust and so glad the day felt extraordinary for you. Hope to see you again soon for another adventure. Caleb Boutique Tours Mexico

Private Akumal & Cenotes tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does Private Akumal & Cenotes tour cost?

+

Prices start at $210 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Akumal & Cenotes tour take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is Private Akumal & Cenotes tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Akumal & Cenotes tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Akumal & Cenotes tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Akumal & Cenotes tour?

+

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Akumal & Cenotes tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

+

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
