Outstanding safari with Peter- Elephant and Giraffe Centers a plus!

Peter was our driver/guide and he was outstanding! We did a 4 hour tour of Nairobi National Park. As a note, fees have risen for the park and are now over $90/person. We saw many giraffes, different antelope, a lioness briefly, a serval cat, many birds, Rhinoceros, warthogs, etc. it was so much fun to just be the two of us on this tour. The Sheldrick Elephant Orphange was a great experience although it was too crowded. Very fun to see these young but large animals playing. The Giraffe center was fun as we had never fed a giraffe before. They are so gentle! We could have skipped the coffee stop. Just tourist junk for sale. Not worth the time. Overall great experience - we highly recommend!

Highly recommended experience

What a great day, our driver Peter was so knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Our trip got off a bit slow (accident which held Peter up). Contacted company who replied right away with update even though was 6am. Once Peter arrived he took us to Nairobi National Park first. We saw a multitude of animals (zebra, giraffe, impalas, rhino)and birds (kites, hearon, ostrich, vultures) and more which Peter was able to tell us about and all the difference subspecies. Then someone said there were lions, away we went but we missed them, Peter was genuinely gutted we had and continued to track where they could have gone. Unfortunately no luck but thats safari for you. Next off was the Sheldrick wildlife sanctuary to see the orphaned Elephants oh and rhino and zebra. What an amazing experience. Peter then advised that our next stop was to be the Giraffe centre but it would be busy si we could go for a coffee. We took his advise and he stopped at lovebirds cafe, we spent about 30mins there and wandered around their gift shop. Then into the Giraffe centre. It was still very busy being the weekend, Peter couldn't get parked but managed to get us inside the gates. Lovely experience feeding Giraffes then a tour about the sustainability and rejuvenation projects that are going on. Peter waited patiently for us to come back. On the way back to the hotel Peter pointed out all the landmarks and talked freely about Nairobi giving us loads of information. Overall it was a fantastic trip and we would highly recommend it and Peter as a guide.

Response from the operator: Dear Vicki, Thank you very much for your kind review. We are truly happy to have you book your experience with Wasili Kenya Safaris and with Peter as your guide. Cool tour of Nairobi National Park

We had an early start after a late flight but it was well worth it. Our Guide, Julius, was very knowledgeable and really knew the best places to go. Within a few minutes of entering the park, as it began to light up and the fog began to clear we saw Rhinos! We got close to Rhinos, zebra, giraffe, and buffalo to name but a few! We were lucky to get a lot of birds as well and even as Serval Cat! The visit to the Elephant Santuary was really good and hearing about the work which they carry out. The Giraffe centre was a brief visit but worth it to get close to the giraffes and feed them!!

Response from the operator: Dear James, Thank you for your wonderful review and for choosing Wasili Kenya Safaris. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and had such a rewarding wildlife experience. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope this was just the beginning of your African adventure. We look forward to welcoming you back for a longer safari and creating even more unforgettable memories together.

The best day ever!

What an amazing way to begin our trip to Africa. Our guide Peter was so amazing! He was informative, had an excellent eye for wildlife and treated us like royalty. We would give him 10 stars if it were possible. We were picked up at 5am and by 7 am we had seen 4 of the big 5!!! This park is chock full of wildlife and so beautiful. The Sheldrick Nursery is a do not miss! Also the Giraffe Center. He took us to a wonderful little restaurant for a tasty lunch of African food. You will adore this park and day! (Ask for Peter!)

Response from the operator: Dear Elizabeth, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are delighted that your first day in Africa was so memorable. It means a lot to hear that Peter made your safari special with his knowledge, passion for wildlife, and excellent service. We are also happy you enjoyed Nairobi National Park, the Sheldrick Elephant Nursery, the Giraffe Centre, and your African lunch. Thank you for choosing Wasili Kenya Safaris. We hope to welcome you back to Kenya for another unforgettable adventure.

Private Adventure: Nairobi park, Elephants & Giraffe centre: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.

How much does Private Adventure: Nairobi park, Elephants & Giraffe centre cost?

+

Prices start at $3 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Adventure: Nairobi park, Elephants & Giraffe centre take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.

Is Private Adventure: Nairobi park, Elephants & Giraffe centre worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 103 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Adventure: Nairobi park, Elephants & Giraffe centre?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Adventure: Nairobi park, Elephants & Giraffe centre suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Adventure: Nairobi park, Elephants & Giraffe centre?

+

Around 36 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Adventure: Nairobi park, Elephants & Giraffe centre start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nairobi?

+

On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nairobi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nairobi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
