A Perfect Day in Sintra & Cabo da Roca with Cláudio

Today we had an incredible 4-hour private tour to Sintra and Cabo da Roca with Cláudio Henrique from Ola Viva Tours, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Cláudio took us through Sintra and showed us the castle, bringing its history to life with clear explanations and fascinating details that made the visit even more special. From there, we continued on to Cabo da Roca, where we were treated to breathtaking views from high above the cliffs, as well as stunning beaches below that are popular with surfers. The scenery was absolutely unforgettable, and Cláudio knew exactly where to stop so we could fully appreciate it. What made the day exceptional was Cláudio himself. His deep knowledge, easygoing charisma, and ability to interact seamlessly in multiple languages made the experience smooth, engaging, and enjoyable for our whole family. He was also incredibly thoughtful, taking plenty of beautiful photos of us along the way—memories we’ll treasure long after the trip. Once again, Cláudio went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. If you’re considering a tour with Ola Viva Tours, we couldn’t recommend him more highly. He truly has a gift for showing people the beauty of Portugal.

Claudio Enrique The Best Tour Guide!

My wife, brother-in-law & sister-in-law had an amazing experience going going to Peña Palace in Sintra, Portugal. Our tour guide was Cláudio Enrique. He is an amazing tour guide & an even better person! He was so friendly, warm & speaks 5 languages. No matter what country you are from, Cláudio is the best tour guide you could ask for. He also does other tours as well.

Response from the operator: Olá Viva! How wonderful! Thank you so much for your kind words. Best regards. Cláudio Henrique Www.olavivatours.com

    A very pleasant experience.

My daughter and I have just spent two very pleasant days with Claudio and his son Daniel on two different tours. Very efficient, very knowledgable and most importantly extremely nice people. I would definitely recommend them without any hesitation. Without doubt the best way to see Lisbon and the local area. A five star experience.

Book this tour if you want your trip to Lisbon to be a great one

Claudio had provided my Dad and I with a tour of the Lisbon the day previous and had recommended the Sintra private tour. It was Daniel who led that and it was fabulous. Both were so knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed what they do. They made our trip to Lisbon that much more fab, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.

Excellent visit to beautiful Lisbon thanks to Claudio’s knowledge and professionalism

My family (2 adults, 2 teens) had the good luck of having Claudio give us 2 excellent tours: one a 3-hour tuk tuk tour of the city of Lisbon and another one a 4-hour tour to Sintra and Lisbon’s surrounding areas. We couldn’t be happier! I was struck by Claudio’s vast knowledge about Lisbon and Portugal, his calm character, and his ultimate flexibility to accommodate our unconventional schedule. He was a gentleman and helped us see so much in Lisbon and surrounding in a very fruitful but short 2.5-day stay in Lisbon :)

Response from the operator: Olá viva! Thank you very much for your words. We are truly grateful that you took this tour with us. Best regards. Cláudio Henrique Www.olavivatours.com

Private 4 hour Sintra Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Private 4 hour Sintra Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $107 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private 4 hour Sintra Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Private 4 hour Sintra Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 47 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private 4 hour Sintra Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private 4 hour Sintra Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private 4 hour Sintra Tour?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private 4 hour Sintra Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
