    Its a scam

As an activity it is nice but they don't fulfil their promise.. the activity is in general just for about an hour. Its very disorganised and you do not get what you make. They will tell you that it will be sent by shipment and after the activity they vanish. All they want is to sell the items from shop on which your guide gets good commission. I suggest to think twice before spending that much money on just simple painting. Our guide was Abdul. Although he tried to be nice but only until he got his commission.

Lots of fun for the family but a bit disorganized

My kids truly enjoyed this workshop. They got to use a pottery wheel, decorate ceramic plates and make a small mosaic tile. The instructor even made a clay elephant for my daughter. I'd give it five stars but subtracted one for logistical issues. The organizers asked us to meet them at a pharmacy just outside the medina, and our taxi driver struggled to figure out where it was. Once we got there, the instructor said our taxi should follow him to to class location, which confused the taxi driver even further. At the workshop, there were long periods of waiting around because the instructor wasn't set up for the class. Fortunately it didn't bother our kids, who still really loved it, but I hope they can improve their logistics by either including hotel pickup or giving the address of the workshop, rather than some intermediary location.

    Lovely day

We had a wonderful morning at this workshop, everyone was so friendly and relaxed. Abdul our guide picked us up from our riad, and was super nice and helpful. My daughter was really happy to have a go at making and especially painting the pots, it was a very calming and enjoyable experience. We are very happy we did this workshop and have some lovely personal souvenirs to take home with us. (Try to do the workshop with some time to spare to allow for the pottery to be fired afterwards).

    Fun experience!

It's a great experience, highly recommend if you have extra time to spend in Fes. The tour guide took us to the factory where we meet the local masters and craftsmen. He explained the procedure of making clay pots, coloring them, and making ceramic palete. The masters demonstrated us while he's explaining. Then we got a chance to try it out for ourselves, with the guidance of the masters. We got to take home what we made.

Response from the operator: Thanks a lot for choosing us, we're glad you liked the experience :) we hope to see around next time :)

    Great experience

Comprehensive and fun, would highly recommend. From beginning to end, instructed by a master in the pottery arts and also received a plate and a mosaic to take home as gifts.

Pottery and Ceramics Workshop: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fez.

How much does Pottery and Ceramics Workshop cost?

    +

Prices start at $64 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fez usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pottery and Ceramics Workshop take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fez is not rushed.

Is Pottery and Ceramics Workshop worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fez, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pottery and Ceramics Workshop?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Pottery and Ceramics Workshop suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pottery and Ceramics Workshop?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fez can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fez and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pottery and Ceramics Workshop start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fez within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Fez?

    +

On Outty we rank every Fez experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Fes to Marrakech: Merzouga & Ait Ben Haddou, 3 Days 2 Nights, Fes to Marrakech desert tour 3 days, 2Days groupe Tour Fes To Fes Or Marrakech Via Sahara Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Fez?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Fez?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Pottery and Ceramics Workshop?

    +

Included: A finished product; All the Making tools and Materials; and Tea and coffee. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Where is the meeting point for Pottery and Ceramics Workshop?

    +

We'll meet right in front of the Main door of Art d'Argile Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.

What languages is Pottery and Ceramics Workshop offered in?

    +

It is offered in Arabic, English and French. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Pottery and Ceramics Workshop?

    +

Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.

Is Pottery and Ceramics Workshop wheelchair or stroller accessible?

    +

The operator notes: Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.
