Our wonderful family holiday through Ravello Positano & Sorrento
Thanks to Roberto you made our family holiday to Naples so wonderful. We all had a say in where we wanted to go. With help and guidance from Roberto we went to Ravello to walk around for about an hour, then on to Positano to walk through our dream of being apart of this beautiful village. We then hopped back into our vehicle and on to Sorrento for a stroll through the fabulous shopping mall and onto lunch. Roberto was so professional and friendly and so helpful. We had a wonderful experience and his vehicle so clean and comfortable for driving us through the winding street. You gave us a family adventure to remember. When life gives you lemons,...make limoncello!
This was the third time that we have travelled with Sorrento Car Tours and thanks to Roberto, we had another amazing experience! Roberto is an extremely warm, friendly, personable, professional and knowledgeable driver and guide! He is also reliable, dependable, helpful and his vehicles are immaculate! I have recommended him to friends and everyone has raved about their experience visiting the Amalfi Coast with Roberto! Planning this trip for our family of three adults and three children (ages 11, 13, 15) was easy, as Roberto had wonderful recommendations for activities that would be appropriate and engaging for both the adults and children. He always responds immediately to emails and calls, and he makes sure to attend to every detail! We had originally planned to go to Positano and Sorrento, but due to a an unexpected landslide the road was closed to Positano, Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed to miss our time in Positano. Thank God for Roberto! He suggested various alternatives for our family and we decided to visit Capri. Without Roberto's expertise and guidance our day would not have been the spectacular experience that it was! On the way to Sorrento, Roberto shared interesting facts about the history, landscape and culture of the area that we all appreciated. In Sorrento, he gave us great recommendations for highlights of the area and places to eat. After a few hours of touring, eating and shopping Roberto took us to the pier and he made sure that we had our ferry tickets to Capri and back. (good thing because the return ferry was completely sold out) What could have been a disappointing day, turned into one of the best days of our trip! We created beautiful memories that we will cherish forever! Thanks to Roberto our family had an incredible experience and learned that when life gives you lemons, make limoncello! Grazie mille, Roberto!

The BEST on the coast!
I would highly recommend using Sorrento Car Tours if you are wanting an amazing experience! Roberto is the owner and happened to be our driver for the full day of our excursion from the cruise ship. He is professional, caring and an expert driver and guide. Roberto sent a text the morning of our tour that he was already at the pier waiting for us. He drove us from Naples to Positano, then on to Sorrento. Roberto even arranged a beautiful Italian seaside lunch for us at an amazing restaurant. From there we continued on to Pompeii and finally back to the ship. Roberto is knowledgeable and can make the best recommendations for your group. I would definitely use Sorrento Car Tours whenever I’m back in Italy! Book him, you won’t regret it!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Positano, Sorrento and Pompei Tour from Naples: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pompeii.
How much does Positano, Sorrento and Pompei Tour from Naples cost?
+
Prices start at $143 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pompeii usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Positano, Sorrento and Pompei Tour from Naples take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pompeii is not rushed.
Is Positano, Sorrento and Pompei Tour from Naples worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pompeii, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Positano, Sorrento and Pompei Tour from Naples?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Positano, Sorrento and Pompei Tour from Naples suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Positano, Sorrento and Pompei Tour from Naples?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pompeii can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pompeii and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Positano, Sorrento and Pompei Tour from Naples start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pompeii within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Pompeii?
+
On Outty we rank every Pompeii experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Minivan Trip from Rome: Pompeii Tour & Lunch in Sorrento, Skip the Line Guided Tour of Pompeii Led by an Archaeologist, Explore Pompeii with an Archaeologist. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Pompeii?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Pompeii?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
