Must see
This tour offered a fascinating look into a 6th generation family silver fabrication business. I got to watch the artisans craft the beautiful pieces and learn more about the silversmithing tradition in Portugal. It was definitely a highlight of my trip.

A fascinating look at the Master silversmiths at work.
We were warmly greeted for our tour by Patricia Alcino who, together with her sister Raquel, are the 6th generation of a family steeped in silver smiths. We were fortunate to be the only people on the tour so we were able to ask loads of questions and take a deep dive into the business, the craftsmanship and how they are evolving with changing times. The tour behind the scenes where the exquisite pieces are made was fascinating and it was a privilege watching Masters at work - it takes at least 15 years to become a Master! This shows in the very high quality of their unique designs. Celebrating 25 years of marriage, it just seemed fitting for us to take away a small example of their beautiful jewellery.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your feedback! Really means a lot to us that you had a good experience and that you truly appreciated to get to know more about us as company but also about the work we do on a daily basis. All the best to you! Thank you so much!

Amazing!! Highly recommended.
This was amazing. It was a privilege to see behind the scenes of an historic Porto family silversmith business. Patricia, a sixth generation family member was a brilliant tour guide. She explained how the business has evolved, and took us into the workshops to meet the artisans and see them at work. Patricia's sister helped out and their mother took photos of our tour for social media. We saw incredible pieces and sculptures, it really was a fantastic thing to do during our stay in Porto. Please do see for yourself and book this tour!

First class service and beautiful pieces of art and jewelry
What a gorgeous store, we picked it as it is walking distance from our hotel for a rainy day. Very accommodating to our request for changes in our schedule. Wonderful family business and tween is so interested to see the new and unique pieces develop in their traditional workshop. To grandma’s delight the owner is able to resize a lovely floral ring within 10 mins and a pair of silver earrings gold plated while we wait! Also has AT tax refund service for purchases over 60ish euros for tourists outside the EU, grandma is heading back again today. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a huge pleasure to receive you in our store and workshop. We are so glad that you have enjoyed the experience of the tour and the service in store. Come back as many times as you want! You will always be welcomed. All the best: Manuel, Raquel and Patricia

How much does PORTO: Tour to the world of silver in a century-old workshop cost?
+
Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does PORTO: Tour to the world of silver in a century-old workshop take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.
Is PORTO: Tour to the world of silver in a century-old workshop worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule PORTO: Tour to the world of silver in a century-old workshop?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is PORTO: Tour to the world of silver in a century-old workshop suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book PORTO: Tour to the world of silver in a century-old workshop?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does PORTO: Tour to the world of silver in a century-old workshop start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Porto?
+
On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
