Boat trip on Douro
I love the experience, it was very lovely , the reception was great and every one was very frindley. It is an experience to repeat.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much. A warm welcome aboard is something we care about deeply, so it means a lot to hear that the reception and the crew made you feel at home. The Douro at sunset does the rest. We'll be waiting for you next time you're in Porto, the second sail is always even better than the first. Fair winds, Rui & Patrícia

Memorable sunset
I highly recommend the experience, it was a memorable sunset, the guides are wonderful, they accompany the trip throughout in several languages. It far exceeded expectations, it was a unique moment of contact with the city, the river, and nature.
Response from the operator: Muito obrigado pela sua review.

The Best Sunset Experience in the City
I had an absolutely wonderful experience watching the sunset from a boat, and I couldn’t recommend it more! Seeing the city from the water offers a completely different and truly breathtaking perspective. The boat was in excellent condition, comfortable and very well maintained, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The owners were incredibly attentive and professional. Safety was clearly their priority throughout the trip, while they were always available to offer recommendations, answer questions, and share interesting information and explanations about the city. And the sunset itself was simply spectacular! 🌅 The bar service was also of an excellent standard, with a great selection and high-quality service. Without a doubt, for anyone visiting the city, this is one of the best choices you can make. A beautiful experience, excellent service, and unforgettable views — absolutely worth it! ✨
Response from the operator: Thank you for such a generous review, reading it was a real pleasure. You picked up on the two things we work hardest at and that guests rarely mention: the condition of the boat and safety. A well-kept sailboat and a crew that keeps an eye on everything are what let everyone else relax completely and simply watch Porto go by. Seeing the city from the water really is a different city. We'd love to show it to you again, you will be always welcome. Fair winds, Rui & Patrícia

Amazing sunset!!
Excellent! ⛵️ Super nice crew and a differentiated service, with welcome drink, chocolate, and Port wine. 🍷🍫 And we even got to see the sailboat with the sail up — it was the only one! Five-star experience, no doubt! ⭐️

Chasing the sunset
It was a beautiful and incredibly peaceful trip along the Douro River, with the most lovely ending: watching the sunset with my fiancé. I’m from Porto, yet seeing Porto and Gaia this way was a completely different experience! I highly recommend setting aside an evening in Porto for this unforgettable experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this review, and congratulations to you both! Hearing it from someone who knows Porto well means a lot, because seeing your own city from the water really is a different experience. We're so glad we could be part of such a special evening. Wishing you and your fiancé all the best, and you're always welcome back aboard! Rui & Patricia The Port Sailors crew

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Porto : Sailing to the Pôr-do-Sol with Porto Wine & Chocolate: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.
How much does Porto : Sailing to the Pôr-do-Sol with Porto Wine & Chocolate cost?
+
Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Porto : Sailing to the Pôr-do-Sol with Porto Wine & Chocolate take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.
Is Porto : Sailing to the Pôr-do-Sol with Porto Wine & Chocolate worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Porto : Sailing to the Pôr-do-Sol with Porto Wine & Chocolate?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Porto : Sailing to the Pôr-do-Sol with Porto Wine & Chocolate suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Porto : Sailing to the Pôr-do-Sol with Porto Wine & Chocolate?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Porto : Sailing to the Pôr-do-Sol with Porto Wine & Chocolate start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Porto?
+
On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
