    Pompeii Tour Guide.

Lucia was very knowledgeable and guided a very good tour. The length, 3 hours, was very good. She lives near Positano and is very knowledgeable about the area. She arranged for a driver to get us to and from Pompeii. Would definitely use her services again. Thank you Lucia

A tour with flakes in ancient Pompeii

We stayed in a group of friends for 5 hours immersed in the beauty of Pompeii's past thanks to the exquisite narratives of our guide Aunt Lucy. It was an unforgettable day a tour that we will never forget thanks to the many facets that the knowledgeable guide showed us and pointed out throughout the visit. If you are in the area and want a guide with a capital G don't waste time and contact Aunt Lucy.

Response from the operator: Grazie mille per la vostra recensione. Sono davvero felice che vi sia piaciuto il tour e spero di rivedervi per altre incredibili avventure nella nostra meravigliosa Campania.

    Perfect Day in Pompeii!!

We had been looking forward to seeing Pompeii for years, and Lucy made the experience! Although parts of the park were still closed due to covid, we felt like we didn’t miss a thing! EXCELLENT GUIDE! She knew sooo many details, answered all our questions, was super flexible and helped us plan our day, and overall one of our best trips ☺️ Would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND to anyone who wants to do a tour in the region (she speaks excellent English!)! We are looking forward to using her again soon!!!

Response from the operator: Grazie mille for your review. I am so happy you have enjoyed the tour with me as being a tour guide for Pompeii has always been a dream and I love the idea to share all the info I know. I hope to see you again! Lucy

    Best guide for Pompei

I had the best bespoken tour of my life! Even if the price seems a bit high this tour is worth to! Lucia is an official tour guide from Campania and she has a great knowledge of all the area of Pompei. She also knows lots of stories about the ancient Romans and their lifestyle. Without her, you waste lots of time in seeing ruins and not understanding where you are. But with Lucia it's all great and you wouldn't end this tour. Grazie Mille cara!

Response from the operator: Ciao Marina, grazie mille for your review. Pompeii is a great place and the best way to discover this unique city is through the eyes of a licensed guide. I hope we will have other occasions to enjoy Campania! Lucia

Pompeii Ruins Special: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pompeii.

How much does Pompeii Ruins Special cost?

    +

Prices start at $343 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pompeii usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pompeii Ruins Special take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pompeii is not rushed.

Is Pompeii Ruins Special worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pompeii, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pompeii Ruins Special?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Pompeii Ruins Special suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pompeii Ruins Special?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pompeii can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pompeii and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pompeii Ruins Special start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pompeii within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Pompeii?

    +

On Outty we rank every Pompeii experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Minivan Trip from Rome: Pompeii Tour & Lunch in Sorrento, Skip the Line Guided Tour of Pompeii Led by an Archaeologist, Explore Pompeii with an Archaeologist. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Pompeii?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Pompeii?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
