About this experience
Pompeii is home to a heritage that is unique and unparalleled anywhere in the world. It tells the story of a single day in life two thousand years ago. Once you arrive in Pompeii, the first thing that will strike you is the sheer size of the site. It will feel like visiting a typical European city, but this time it’s different because it’s a city from the past, and the emotions you’ll feel will be completely unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. As you stroll, following in the footsteps of the Roman aristocracy, you’ll discover daily customs, the architecture of the buildings, the market, and the villas. Here’s what you’ll see once you arrive. A classic city map with descriptions of the main streets and the most important buildings to visit, such as “The Villa of the Mysteries,” “The House of the Faun,” “The Great Theater,” “The Forum,” as well as countless homes and shops. This is the majesty of Pompeii today, one of the most visited archaeological sites in the world.

Amazing very specific tour of Pompeii with a wonderful company.
We had booked a very specific four hour tour with hear and there travel through Expedia we specifically wanted four hours at the Pompeii archaeological site not a 2 hour trip there with 2 hours return time. For some reason Expedia decided to turn our trip into the 2 hour and 2 hour. when Luca at here and there was appraised of the situation immediately fixed the problem Expedia created. Our tour with Simone was everything we hoped it would be. we spent a great four hours on the site checking all of the interesting sites that you see in the guidebooks as well as many untold and unexplained sites you would not have been able to find on your own. Simone was a fabulous guide he was funny personable knowledgeable and entertaining I cannot imagine we could have had a better guide or a more inclusive tour of a very complex site. here and there are to be complimented on a great job of turning a possible problem into a lifetime memory. Thank you guys so much.

Guided Tour in Pompei
We went with a few other people (couples mostly) and (through traditional word of mouth) found out about this option - they are pretty new, but know what they are doing (experienced guide, excellent communication skills, sense of humour). Simple to book and they really seem to know their stuff - the attention to detail made the whole experience really good. We weren't quite sure what to expect but very much an insider's view and pretty good value for money. I get the impression that they are happy to work around what you are looking for, which was great for us.
Response from the operator: Dear guest, we are extremely happy you and your group enjoyed the tour, it is so rewarding to read about your positive feedback, we're really customer focused and we have been doing our utmost to meet our customer's expectations!! We have been looking forward to welcoming you back in the future and having the chance to offer you our services once again! Thanks for choosing us, wish you all the best!

+

How far in advance should I book Pompei from Salerno: Guided Tour with SkipTheLine Ticket. Cruises?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salerno can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salerno and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Salerno within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Salerno?
+
On Outty we rank every Salerno experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Amalfi Coast Experience from Sorrento, Naples or Salerno, Small-Group Amalfi Coast Day Cruise from Positano, Amalfi Coast Boat tour Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Salerno?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Salerno?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
