Pompeii -amazing, it's company not so good

Getting tickets from this agency was a hassle. Once you get off the train you have to walk all the way around the park to show your voucher and they print off your ticket to walk back to the gate and enter. We did audio and had to go to two stores to get. I would encourage you to buy tickets on line at the official site for Pompeii. We walked 18,000 steps on uneven ground which we anticipated but not the extra hour of walking to get in and return audio item. Pompeii is a must see and is best with a guide or audio. Use your phone to find the location of casts of bodies and items.

Great Experience, map, audio device and headphones provided

The whole experience was easy, the office (where the audio tour device is located) was just 50 yards from the main Pompei entrance, and easy to walk to. Please note that a driving license was required as security for the device (handed back on return). The tour company provided a Pompei site map, audio device, headphones and usage instructions, which made it easy to navigate the site.

    Ticket office closed

Arrived at the ticket pick up location on time. It was closd and we were unable to join our tour. We purchased tickets ourselves which were cheaper. I am hoping for a refund.

Response from the operator: so sorry but we are in via Roma 32 and not in via Roma 132 like your information in your voucher you made the mistake about the office 's address . Please before asking refund let you check the right address like your voucher and not put one stars without reason good luke Francesca

Don’t bother. Just go and pay at the site. They also have audio guides available. The download guides were not very good

We paid for 2 tickets so the line ticket which was totally unnecessary because there was no line. We also paid for audio downloads and only one of the two were accessible. The audio guide we did get did have information on most of the Sites we visited.

    Do not book, scammers

We booked a month in advance, when we turned up on the day the shop was closed and when we called up, there was no answer. Viator were not helpful as they did not help us find an alternative and said all we could do is lodge a complaint. Luckily we were able to get a full refund.

Pompei Archaeological Park Skip The Line ticket With audio Guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pompeii.

How much does Pompei Archaeological Park Skip The Line ticket With audio Guide cost?

    +

Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pompeii usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pompei Archaeological Park Skip The Line ticket With audio Guide take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pompeii is not rushed.

Is Pompei Archaeological Park Skip The Line ticket With audio Guide worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 44 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pompeii, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pompei Archaeological Park Skip The Line ticket With audio Guide?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Pompei Archaeological Park Skip The Line ticket With audio Guide suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pompei Archaeological Park Skip The Line ticket With audio Guide?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pompeii can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pompeii and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pompei Archaeological Park Skip The Line ticket With audio Guide start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pompeii within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Pompeii?

    +

On Outty we rank every Pompeii experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Minivan Trip from Rome: Pompeii Tour & Lunch in Sorrento, Skip the Line Guided Tour of Pompeii Led by an Archaeologist, Explore Pompeii with an Archaeologist. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Pompeii?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Pompeii?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
