Everest Base Camp asks for two weeks. Pikey Peak asks for five days and still delivers a real Everest sunrise, a full panorama from a 4,065m summit Sir Edmund Hillary once called one of the most beautiful views in the world. The trek drives from Kathmandu to Dhap, then ridgeline walking through Sherpa villages, forest and alpine meadow leading up to Pikey Peak Base Camp. The summit push happens before dawn, cold and dark, worth it once Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and the surrounding giants come into view at once. Be honest about the effort: this is not a stroll. Some sections are steeper than short trek suggests, and nights on the ridge get cold enough that a proper sleeping bag matters. What you get for five days instead of two weeks is the Everest moment without the full Base Camp commitment.

Unique experience
Experience to do at least once in a lifetime. The trek that we were told was easy, in fact in some places it is not (I speak as a poorly trained person). The guide assigned to us spoke fluent English and was attentive to our every request. The landscapes presented are wonderful and the local people are friendly. I recommend, as well as a minimum of training, a sleeping bag for the night (as the temperatures in the room are quite cold) and a good deal of adaptation since comfort is minimal. We had some difficulties in leaving Lukla because the weather was not favorable but the agency was activated in a very short time providing us with various solutions, even in the middle of the night. The seriousness of the agency and the guide are a fundamental point.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind review. I’m happy to hear you enjoyed the trekking experience and the beautiful landscapes of the Everest region. Weather in Lukla can sometimes be unpredictable, but I’m glad we were able to assist you quickly. I truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again in Nepal.

Beautiful views!
I did the 5-day trek with views of Everest and it was an unforgettable experience. The route was challenging in parts but totally manageable, with incredible scenery the whole way — from quiet valleys to those first clear glimpses of Everest that make every step worth it. Our guide was the real highlight. He set a comfortable pace, explained the local areas without overloading us, and somehow always knew the best viewpoints before the crowds arrived. He kept the group feeling safe and supported without ever being overbearing. If you’re after a shorter trek that still gives you those iconic Everest views, this one is absolutely worth doing.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review. We're glad the 5-day Everest trek felt rewarding and manageable, and even happier that your guide made the experience special. We're grateful you chose to trek with us and hope to welcome you back to Nepal again.

Perfect Taster Trek
We recently did the 5 day Everest View Trek with Mountain Hike Nepal. Manish facilitated the tour perfectly, collected us from the airport (and even arranged a car to drop us at the airport, days after our trek had ended). Our guide Kaji was excellent - it was a once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommend

Pikey Peak Trek – 5 Days Short Everest View Trek in Nepal: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Pikey Peak Trek – 5 Days Short Everest View Trek in Nepal cost?
+
Prices start at $498 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Pikey Peak Trek – 5 Days Short Everest View Trek in Nepal take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Pikey Peak Trek – 5 Days Short Everest View Trek in Nepal worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Pikey Peak Trek – 5 Days Short Everest View Trek in Nepal?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Pikey Peak Trek – 5 Days Short Everest View Trek in Nepal suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Pikey Peak Trek – 5 Days Short Everest View Trek in Nepal?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Pikey Peak Trek – 5 Days Short Everest View Trek in Nepal start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
