The Pickle Pub Crawl isn't your typical pub crawl — you’ll travel between some of Victoria’s favourite waterfront pubs and restaurants aboard the city’s iconic little Harbour Ferries. Over three fun-filled hours, enjoy two Harbour Ferry rides, four pub and restaurant stops, waterfront views, local drinks available for purchase, and plenty of laughs with your Hidden Victoria guide. This is a pub crawl and sightseeing experience, not a food tour. Complimentary pub-style appetizers are provided at participating stops with the purchase of a drink, but the food is intended to complement the pub crawl rather than provide a full meal. Come with friends or come on your own. With a maximum of 11 guests, it’s an easy way to meet other travellers while experiencing Victoria’s Inner Harbour from both land and water. Perfect for visitors, locals, birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and anyone looking for a completely different way to experience Victoria.

Highly recommend if hosting company from out of town… it’s quality but easy entertainment
Highly recommend doing this… particularly if you have company visiting from out of town. It is an easy way to entertain and the cost of the tour, when you consider the two pickle boat taxis and the shared appetizers (multiple shared amongst the group), is more than reasonable… our tour guide was just the right of sociable, sharing stories, engaging, and sitting back when the group was engaged. I think his name was Mike - I forgot to write this right away and it’s escaped me now. We had a variety of ages but found the mix to be perfect as we all had something in common on a variety of things and conversation was good. Would definitely do again.

A highly enjoyable few hours
This was a lovely way to spend a few hours with travellers. We all got on really well and had a lovely time. Possibly more healthy snacks would be good?!

Disappointing
We did not have a very good experience. For the price of the ticket we could have done our own pubcrawl. We booked this for my best friends 40th birthday and we only went on the boat once. The appies you got with the drink purchase was not very good, pretty much chips and salsa or pita and humas. It was a very disappointing time, we actually did not stay our last stop either. We won’t be booking again.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry the tour wasn’t what you were hoping for, especially while celebrating your friend’s 40th birthday. We did want to clarify a couple of details for future guests reading this review. Our Pickle Pub Crawl includes four local pub stops and two harbour ferry rides. On this tour, the other eight guests continued with the full experience and completed both ferry rides. Unfortunately, as you chose to leave the tour early, you only experienced the first ferry ride. The tour also includes complimentary pub-style appetizers with drink purchases. We start with calamari, followed by casual pub snacks at the other venues, which can include items such as hummus and pita or chips and salsa. As this is a pub crawl rather than a food tour, the food is intended to complement the drinks, pubs, ferry rides and social experience rather than provide a full meal. We completely understand that this style of tour won’t be for everyone, and we’re sorry it wasn’t the right fit for you. We do, however, want to make clear that the full itinerary, including both advertised harbour ferry rides, was provided to the guests who completed the tour.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Pickle Pub Crawl: Victoria Harbour Ferry Pub Crawl: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vancouver Island.
How much does Pickle Pub Crawl: Victoria Harbour Ferry Pub Crawl cost?
+
Prices start at $47 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vancouver Island usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Pickle Pub Crawl: Victoria Harbour Ferry Pub Crawl take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vancouver Island is not rushed.
Is Pickle Pub Crawl: Victoria Harbour Ferry Pub Crawl worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 146 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vancouver Island, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Pickle Pub Crawl: Victoria Harbour Ferry Pub Crawl?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Pickle Pub Crawl: Victoria Harbour Ferry Pub Crawl suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Pickle Pub Crawl: Victoria Harbour Ferry Pub Crawl?
+
Around 51 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vancouver Island can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vancouver Island and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Pickle Pub Crawl: Victoria Harbour Ferry Pub Crawl start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vancouver Island within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Vancouver Island?
+
On Outty we rank every Vancouver Island experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Victoria Guided Food and History Tour, Victoria Whale and Wildlife Cruise, Victoria Half-Day Whale Watching Adventure with Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Vancouver Island?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Vancouver Island?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
