Wonderful views
Beautiful views and experience in general, but even when you already paid your excursion, in the port they charge you another 400 THB and later they sell you a water shoes! Another 350 , and in reality you don’t need them, they push you to buy them,
Response from the operator: Hi Sofia, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback and for giving us 5 stars! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful views and the overall experience on the trip. Regarding the extra charges you mentioned, we would love to clarify a couple of details: National Park Fee (400 THB): This is a mandatory fee collected directly by the local park authorities for government entry permits, not a charge from our company. We always aim to keep our guests informed by clearly stating this fee on our booking page as well as in the confirmation email sent prior to the trip. Water Shoes: The vendors at the pier are independent sellers and are not affiliated with our team. While they actively promote their items, purchasing water shoes is completely optional, and you are never required to buy them for the tour. We really appreciate your feedback, as it helps future travelers know what to expect at the port. Thank you again for choosing to tour with us, and we hope to welcome you back again in the future! Best regards, The AnyWhere.tours Team

A great experience
The team was awesome. Great guide. One thing to remind that the trip will take 10.5 including hotel pick-up drop
Response from the operator: Dear Amarty, Thank you for the kind words about our team and guide! We're glad you had a great experience exploring the islands. You’re absolutely right to mention the total time. While the tour itself is a set duration, the total day can reach 10.5 hours depending on the traffic conditions and the distance of your hotel from the pier. We appreciate you sharing that tip to help future guests plan their day! Best regards, Thailand Tours Team

Must do!
Yo-yo was amazing! Although the ride there was pretty bumpy, the experience itself was incredible. We were taken care of, the staff were incredibly kind and patient and we had unlimited Pepsi/water. Their knowledge is profound and I would 100% reccomend booking here!!
Response from the operator: Dear Jazz, Thank you for the "100% recommendation!" We are so glad you had an incredible time exploring Phi Phi and the islands with us. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to Yo-yo and the rest of the crew—they’ll be thrilled to know their knowledge and patience made your trip special. We look forward to seeing you on the water again soon! Best regards, Thailand Tours Team

Badly described trip timeframe
Despite some excellent trips with Viator, this one wasn't. I cannot comment on the tour itself - because we had to abandon before boarding the speedboat. It was sold as a "7-hour trip" but when we reached the pier, we were told it would be 8.5-9 hours! Unfortunately, this wouldn't have allowed us sufficient time to get back for our cruise ship departure. A HUGE disappointment, as this was due to be a highlight of our holiday. We'd taken every precaution to ensure timings would work, including an excellent taxi driver to get us to the pier and back. We are hugely grateful to him, for noticing and advising us of the potential risk. Albeit Viator were honourable enough to refund our fee in full (albeit inside their 24 hour stipulation) following our complaint - we incurred a $150 taxi bill and will be always disappointed in missing the trip 😢 VIATOR..... please, please, be more acurate with your advice on timings 🙏🏻 We book these trips a long way in advance, often alongside other criteria, thus relying totally on the description of the trip.

Do NOT Book This Tour
The Viator posting for this trip is misleading. It says to be at the dock at 9am and the excursion is 6.5 hours. We booked this tour based on this information as it would give us adequate time to return to our cruise ship which was 1 hour drive on the other side of the island. We arrived via cab at 8:50am to check-in. We were told we would be on the 10am ship and it would be back at 6:00pm. Do the math! That is not 6.5 hours. Our cruise ship sailed at 6:15pm. We could not go on the excursion and make it back in time. We were told we would not be getting a refund. The staff were very rude and dismissive. We are very disappointed.
Response from the operator: Dear Thomas, The tour details on Viator explicitly state the full duration and schedule of this excursion. It is the responsibility of the traveler to ensure their personal schedule, especially tight cruise ship departures, aligns with the tour timing provided before booking. Because this information is clearly listed, we cannot offer refunds for last-minute cancellations due to personal scheduling conflicts. Regarding the staff, we maintain a professional standard and simply reiterated the policy you agreed to at the time of booking. Thailand Tours Team

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Phuket: Phi Phi Islands, Maya bay & Khai Island by Speedboat: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.
How much does Phuket: Phi Phi Islands, Maya bay & Khai Island by Speedboat cost?
+
Prices start at $1290 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Phuket: Phi Phi Islands, Maya bay & Khai Island by Speedboat take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.
Is Phuket: Phi Phi Islands, Maya bay & Khai Island by Speedboat worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Phuket: Phi Phi Islands, Maya bay & Khai Island by Speedboat?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Phuket: Phi Phi Islands, Maya bay & Khai Island by Speedboat suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Phuket: Phi Phi Islands, Maya bay & Khai Island by Speedboat?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Phuket: Phi Phi Islands, Maya bay & Khai Island by Speedboat start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phuket?
+
On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phuket?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phuket?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
