  2. Maya Bay

Phi Phi Island Tour’s first glimpse of magic - Maya Bay Phi Phi Maya Bay has been a "must sightseeing location" for hordes of Thailand tourists for decades and as such, has suffered from its overuse. Thankfully the National Park prohibited from 2018 to the end of 2021, any boat from dropping anchor in the bay and alighting at the beach, to allow the gorgeous coral island treasures, wildlife and environment time to recover. You will be one of the first boats to arrive and this awe inspiring bay to enjoy placing the first footprints of the day into it's fine white sand. ***During the months of August and September, the Phi Phi National Park closes Maya Bay to tourists to allow some annual rejuvenation to the ecosystem. The stunning Bamboo Island is visited instead during these months. ***

The tour’s emerald crown, Pileh Lagoon - Tide Dependent Our next port of call on our sunrise tour, if tide allows, is Pileh Lagoon before the crowds arrive. It is a spectacular emerald green lagoon surrounded by high limestone cliffs on 3 sides, one of the world's most gorgeous natural swimming pools. Grab your action camera and film or take a photo of the extremely spectacular view of the emerald waters merging with the caves and the blue clear horizon.

Experience the Phi Phi Islands from underwater - 1st Snorkeling Stop It is now time to explore the magical underwater world with some swimming and snorkeling during our speedboat tour. The staff are always there (in and out of the water) ready to help any first timers with encouragement, advice and sometimes just a helping hand throughout the day tour. In around Phi Phi waters, we are regularly visited by Whale Sharks, Dolphins, Whales and Reef Sharks. If you're lucky we may see these on tour!

  5. Viking Cave

Phi Phi Islands have their secrets - Macaque Monkeys and the Viking Cave During the tour, we will stop by one of the local beaches for a viewing of the monkey troops. For our own safety, we stay on the boat whilst viewing these cute Long-tailed Macaques on the monkey beach. For animal lovers, this is one of the most featured moments of the tour! The Viking Cave is home to the special Birds’ Nests used to make Birds Nest Soup. It is not possible to enter this enormous cave but we will show you from the outside and you can witness the armed guards guarding the birds' nests from looters!

Tours demand relaxation time - Bamboo Beach or Koh Rang Yai Our  penultimate stop on your Phi Phi Islands tour is selected dependant on the conditions of the day and our crew choose between one of two idyllic  tropical islands. Had an amazing experience with Simba Sea Trips! Everything was incredibly well organized from the hotel pickup to the entire Phi Phi Islands trip. The small-group setup made the experience feel much more relaxed and enjoyable, and the whole day ran smoothly. A special mention to Sara, She was absolutely fantastic! Friendly, energetic, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the trip more enjoyable. She took great care of everyone, explained everything clearly, and created such a fun atmosphere throughout the day. The crew, snorkeling spots, food, and overall service were excellent. Definitely one of the highlights of our Phuket trip. Highly recommend Simba Sea Trips, and if you’re lucky enough to have Sara on your tour, you’re in great hands!

Fantastic experience

Fantastic experience! Family really enjoyed. Pick up was on time, the little refreshments. Support from the team. We are not strong swimmers/barely swim BUT we was able to enjoy snorkelling with life jacket and help from staff. Worth every penny, we missed a lot of the crowds and were able to take good pictures. Icing on the top was lunch, amazing food. Thank you

LIFETIME EXPERIENCE THANKS TO TEAM SIMBA

Very good experience. We chose the sunrise tour to avoid the crowds and thats exactly what simba gave us. Their timings are perfect. We were the first ones to reach Maya Bay. We got the entire beach to ourselves. Truly a memorable experience. The snokerling sights chosen by simba were excellent. We got to see marine life in abundance. The waters were crystal clear and had very less crowd. A SPECIAL MENTION TO OUR GUIDE SARA. She was extremely polite, cooperative, considerate. She explained each sight visit to us and gave us alot of time to explore the places. We were well taken care of.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for your wonderful review. We're delighted to hear that our sunrise tour delivered exactly what you were hoping for and that you were able to enjoy Maya Bay before the crowds arrived. Having those magical moments with the beach almost entirely to yourselves is something we always aim for. We're also thrilled that you enjoyed the snorkeling spots and the incredible marine life. Your kind words about Sara mean a lot, and we'll be sure to pass them on to her. She will be delighted to know that her care, attention, and local knowledge helped make your day so memorable. Thank you for choosing Simba, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future. Best regards, Andrea

Maya Bay just as in the books

It's an early start which is rewarded by a lovely sunrise and much reduced crowds at Maya Bay. The guide and crew were very helpful, especially with less confident swimmers and getting on and off the boat. The boat is swift and comfortable. Our guide Noi Noi was informative and also entertaining, as well as making sure everyone was safe. Really cannot fault this trip to a very beautiful, but over visited place. We saw everything including the picture postcard colours of the sea and islands, enjoyed being plied with snacks and drinks on the boat, morning tea with homemade banana bread and sticky rice, as well as a top Thai lunch on return to port.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the early start, beautiful sunrise, reduced crowds, and the care provided by Noi Noi and our crew. We’re especially happy that you enjoyed the food, snacks, and the full experience. Your kind words mean a lot to the entire Simba team. We hope to welcome you back again soon! Best Regards, Simba Sea Trips Team

Island Cruise from Phuket to Phi Phi Islands with Maya Bay Visit: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.

How much does Island Cruise from Phuket to Phi Phi Islands with Maya Bay Visit cost?

+

Prices start at $3150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Island Cruise from Phuket to Phi Phi Islands with Maya Bay Visit take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.

Is Island Cruise from Phuket to Phi Phi Islands with Maya Bay Visit worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 91 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 1,588 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Island Cruise from Phuket to Phi Phi Islands with Maya Bay Visit?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Island Cruise from Phuket to Phi Phi Islands with Maya Bay Visit suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Island Cruise from Phuket to Phi Phi Islands with Maya Bay Visit?

+

Around 556 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Island Cruise from Phuket to Phi Phi Islands with Maya Bay Visit start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phuket?

+

On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phuket?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phuket?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
