Mistic, cultural, excellence, spiritual, transformative

A truly transformative and spiritual experience in Kathmandu If you are searching for a spiritual, authentic and transformative experience in Kathmandu, this is it. Our guide was far beyond excellent — deeply knowledgeable, intuitive, and genuinely connected to the spiritual essence of Nepal. He didn’t just show us places; he guided us through a meaningful journey, helping us understand the culture, rituals, and energy of each sacred site. Every moment felt intentional and enriching. Highly recommended for anyone looking for more than tourism — this is a soulful, immersive and life-changing experience.

Always there to help with so much Wisdom in all spiritual things.

I went to Nepal for 6 weeks and they managed everything for me. I did Buddhist retreat, interview with Monks for my PhD, I did the Everest base camp and lot of different day trip tour and it was always wonderful to speak with him. I can't recommend more his service for anything in Nepal.

Incredible experience, bijaye was the most amazing guide we experienced in Nepal. Highly recommended, he was very kind and made our experience priceless. I really recommend if you come to Nepal booking a tour with him.

So amazing

I took a trip to Pharping after finding this company on the internet. My guide, Bijaya, was friendly and knowledgeable and not only have me information about where we were and what we were seeing but also spoke to me about Buddhism and made me see myself and and life in a different way. We saw Buddhist shrines, hung prayer flags in memory of my late dad, meditated with monks in a tiny cave. It was such a spiritual trip I can't wait to return next year. I would recommend NST and Bijaya as a guide.

Great People, Great Experience!

Are you looking to expand your comfort zone and experience another culture? Well I was. And I sure got it! Living with Bijaya, Raj, and Sapana was an absolutely wonderful experience! I met Bijaya online through his Third Eye Volunteer organization and expressed my interest in volunteering in veterinary medicine, where he made all the arrangements for me. Bijaya is a wonderful host and has an incredible knowledge base about Buddhism and Hinduisim - he even wrote a Master's paper on aspects of these belief systems. As a questioning scientist, an avid yogi, and frequent meditation practitioner myself, I was there to learn from Bijaya and he would intelligently and politely answer any challenging question I asked him. Visiting the Boudhanath Stupa and Shiva Temple in the same day was quite a remarkable experience. If you ever go to Nepal, I highly recommend taking Bijaya's tour and serving as a volunteer!

Pharping Asura Cave Meditation Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Pharping Asura Cave Meditation Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pharping Asura Cave Meditation Tour take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Pharping Asura Cave Meditation Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pharping Asura Cave Meditation Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Pharping Asura Cave Meditation Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Pharping Asura Cave Meditation Tour?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pharping Asura Cave Meditation Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
