Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had such a great experience with Chef Ana and enjoyed the class. It means a lot to us that you found the experience worthwhile and, most importantly, that you loved the Pastéis de Nata you made. A fun family experience!
We took this cooking class in Lisbon as a family with three young children, based on another family’s recommendation—and it exceeded all expectations. We made pastel de nata from scratch, and the experience was hands-on, fun, and engaging for kids of all ages. The instructor was patient, welcoming, and fantastic at keeping everyone involved. What really says it all is that each of our three kids independently said this class was a highlight of their entire trip to Lisbon. If you’re traveling with children and looking for an authentic, memorable activity, this class is absolutely worth it.

Fabulous class with two very knowledgable, enthusiastic and funny chefs.
We did a pastel de nata class with Rita and Ana as part of a work trip. It was a fabulous morning where we learned, laughed and ate some delicious pastry. Would highly recommend.

She's passionate about sharing not only the recipe but also the stories and culture behind it, and we're so glad that came through in your class. We’re especially happy to know that you were proud of your pastries — and that they tasted amazing! That’s the best compliment we could receive. The best Pasteis de Nata in Lisbon!
This was a wonderful experience, working with our hands, divided into two teams; me and my wife against our 2 sons!. Creating wonderful pasteis de nata and hopefully developing a real understanding of what goes into the making of these gorgeous little pastries! Rita was full of stories, lively, overflowing with enthusiasm for what she taught to us, of a love of her craft and of her time studying in London and of Portuguese culture and history! I prefer mine dusted with cinnamon! Thank you!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a fun and memorable experience with us — and we love the friendly competition between parents and kids! 🍮👏 Rita will be so happy to know that her passion, stories, and love for Portuguese pastries and culture made your time with us even more special. Sharing this part of Portugal with guests like you is truly what makes our work so rewarding. And yes — a dusting of cinnamon is always a winning touch! We hope you’ll keep making pastéis de nata at home and carry a little piece of Lisbon with you wherever you go. You’re always welcome back — we’d love to cook with you again someday! Warm regards, The Lisbon Cooking Academy Team

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Pastel de Nata Cooking Class in Lisbon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Pastel de Nata Cooking Class in Lisbon cost?
+
Prices start at $68 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Pastel de Nata Cooking Class in Lisbon take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Pastel de Nata Cooking Class in Lisbon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Pastel de Nata Cooking Class in Lisbon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Pastel de Nata Cooking Class in Lisbon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Pastel de Nata Cooking Class in Lisbon?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Pastel de Nata Cooking Class in Lisbon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
