Excellent tour to small producers
It was an excellent tour itself, Matthia did a very good and humorous Job in explaining all the things necessary for the fabrications. We could see all the steps in the production of Parmigiano Reggiano as they only produce 6 pieces per day. Also the Producer of the ham was there, 72year old Claudio, Who is still in business and cuts the ham with a hand-driven 50 year old machine. What a delight! Highly recommended tour! The best option for train tickets if you are not familiär with the system is in my opinion the app omio.com. They take a small fee, but the ticket ist automatically validated at the time when the train goes off.

Small group experience with a great tour guide
Wonderful experience with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. We practically had a private tour with only 4 people in the group. We enjoyed very much. Gracie bene, Matthia!

A Yummy Tour Not To Miss!
The tour was great. The making of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese was fascinating. We saw hands-on how the cheese is made, labeled and stored for aging. We enjoyed the various aged cheese samples, as well as a glad of wine. The second stop on the tour was at a farm for processing and curing prosciutto. It was also an interesting process. And we enjoyed some prosciutto and wine, following the tour. For my husband and I, the highlight was the cheese tour. So interesting. The

Tasty, interesting and a must to do.
It was the best tour. I loved it all. From the moment I got off the train I was welcomed and taken to the Parmigiano Reggiano factory. We saw the process of how the cheese is made and then we got to try it. The best! Just when I didn’t think it could get any better we went over the road to the Brushwood to factory and we saw the owner salt that raw prosciutto and then we went through the process of how it is cured at the end of course we had some beautiful prosciutto that was cut by the owner on his mothers 50 year-old slicer by hand and of course it tasted divine. Grazie a fantastic tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your positive feedback! We're so pleased to know that you had a fantastic time in Parma. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we hope to see you again.

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Parmesan and Ham Factory Tour with tasting: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milan.
How much does Parmesan and Ham Factory Tour with tasting cost?
+
Prices start at $26 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Parmesan and Ham Factory Tour with tasting take?
+
Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milan is not rushed.
Is Parmesan and Ham Factory Tour with tasting worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Milan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Parmesan and Ham Factory Tour with tasting?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Parmesan and Ham Factory Tour with tasting suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Parmesan and Ham Factory Tour with tasting?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Parmesan and Ham Factory Tour with tasting start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Milan?
+
On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Authentic Pasta & Tiramisu Cooking Class in Milan, Milan's Hidden Gems: Unique Bike Tour (ENG, NL). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Milan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Milan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
