Eduardo was great!
This tour was so much fun and we really enjoyed learning about the history and hearing the stories of Le Marais along the way. Seamless, educational, fun, and BRILLIANT
Had a friend visit me in Paris and decided to explore the city like tourists. Based on their amazing reviews we booked a Fat Cat Louvre tour with Violette as our guide — it exceeded our high expectations, and we left so enthused about the whole experience that we turned around and booked Fat Cat’s Marais tour with Adam. I can’t say enough good things about both guides! Their wealth of knowledge is unmatched yet they both possess the effortless charisma and wit that keeps one glued to the information they deliver. The friends and clients to whom I’ve recommended Fat Cat Tours have likewise come away from the experience wowed. If you’re hesitating to book, don’t! The experience is worth every penny, and you will absolutely come away having learned a myriad of things you probably wouldn’t have otherwise. Thanks, Violette and Adam!
Response from the operator: Dear Helen, We cannot thank you enough for your lovely review. We are so thrilled you enjoyed your tours with Violette and Adam. Thanks a lot for booking with Fat Cat Tours! We truly hope to see you again soon!

A Great Tour in the Gay Marais with a knowledgeable, energetic and personable guide
We met our guide Harry outside Les Chimeres restaurant. This began a fun and fast-paced tour of the Marais district. Harry has in-depth knowledge, including some interesting and unusual details about the area. Harry was equally conversant in the political, Jewish and more recent gay history of the district. He was very personable and we truly enjoyed and recommend this Paris Gay Marais walking tour. We ended the tour with drinks and conversation at Cafe Voulez-Vous. We then had plenty of time to further explore the area on our own.
Response from the operator: Dear Mark, Thanks for this beautiful review. We are thrilled to read you loved your tour with Harry. Thank-you for choosing Fat Cat Tours!

Totally Awesome and Unexpected Walk Through Queer French History!
Wow, guys, you won't believe this tour! The Gay Marais Semi-Private Walking Tour totally blew my mind. If you're like me and enjoy uncovering hidden histories that often get swept under the rug, you're in for a treat! Our guide, Adam, was such a cool dude, seriously. He was a total encyclopedia of knowledge but with a wicked sense of humor. It was like hanging out with your incredibly smart, slightly nerdy, and super engaging friend who has a knack for spinning a good yarn. You're not going to believe some of the stuff Adam tells you about the French gay nobility. Seriously, I was like, "No way, that's crazy!" the entire time. It's a shame this part of history often gets "straight-washed" (Adam's word, not mine!), but I’m glad there’s someone like him out there revealing 100% true facts that have been hidden for too long. The Place des Vosges and other key spots were amazing to see, sure, but the lesser-known locations Adam took us to were absolute game-changers. These tucked-away gems have so many stories to tell, and with Adam's knack for narration, it felt like we were living them in real-time. What's so cool about this tour being semi-private is that it's super chill. It's like strolling around with a group of friends, which is basically what we became by the end. And Adam, being the rockstar that he is, made sure everyone's questions got answered. It was all very go-with-the-flow and laid-back, which I absolutely loved. We capped off the tour in a local gay bar, a total cherry on top! Not only did it bring the whole historical journey full circle, but it also put us right in the middle of today’s vibrant LGBTQ scene. We had a great chat over complimentary drinks. Talk about an immersive experience! So, in short, if you’re looking for a different spin on the usual Paris tour, do yourself a favor and check out the Gay Marais Semi-Private Walking Tour. Whether you're part of the LGBTQ community or just someone curious about this side of history, you're gonna have a blast. And tell Adam I said hi!
Response from the operator: Dear Peter, We cannot thank you enough for your amazing review. This tour is SO important for us, and we are always so incredibly happy and grateful when we receive this kind of feedback! It really was a true pleasure to have you on our tour with Adam! Please let us know when you are back in Paris!

Excellent neighborhood tour.
Adam is both an excellent tour guide and a wonderful host. My husband and I genuinely learned a lot about the Marais and had fun.
Response from the operator: Thanks a lot for writing this lovely review. We are extremely happy you and your husband liked your experience in the Louvre museum with Adam. We hope to see you again soon!

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Paris Gay Marais Semi-Private Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.
How much does Paris Gay Marais Semi-Private Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $149 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Paris Gay Marais Semi-Private Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.
Is Paris Gay Marais Semi-Private Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Paris Gay Marais Semi-Private Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Paris Gay Marais Semi-Private Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Paris Gay Marais Semi-Private Walking Tour?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Paris Gay Marais Semi-Private Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Paris?
+
Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Paris?
+
April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Paris?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
