Lines lines and more lines.

Enjoyed learning about the Eiffel Tower and our guide was very nice. The issue we had was the very long lines to get on the elevators. It was a nightmare and we decided to forgo going up to the summit and left after getting to the second floor. The heat coupled with the madness of the lines made for less than an enjoyable experience. Nothing personal against the guide she was very helpful when we decided to ditch the waiting and the heat and helped us to exit as quickly as possible. There are other ways to get a Birds Eye view if the city of Paris and I would recommend doing one of those instead. For the price we paid ($600) for 4 people, I feel like there should be some kind of “fast pass” system for the elevators that would eliminate the extreme wait times. I had read in the description that there would be lines but I had no idea the challenge of getting onto the proper elevator would be that extreme.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed learning about the Eiffel Tower and appreciated your guide’s help. We’re sorry the long elevator lines and heat impacted your experience and understand your frustration regarding wait times, especially given the price. Unfortunately, there is no “fast pass” system for the elevators, and the activity description does mention potential lines, but we realize the extent can be surprising. Your comments are valuable and will be shared with our team to help improve communication and set clearer expectations for future guests.

Don't book with GetYourGuide!!!

Don't ever use GetYourGuide!!! I booked a tour with them to the Eiffel Tower and they handed me off to two tour providers who all failed to provide the tour. No refund. No interest in helping with another booking. It cost me hundreds of dollars. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

Unprofessional

Four days in advance, we contacted you to ask whether it would be possible to cancel our activity in Paris (the Eiffel Tower) or receive a voucher, as extreme heat was forecast in Paris. My sister is pregnant, and our group also includes two people over the age of 60. The Moulin Rouge and other companies were understanding and offered us vouchers as a solution. GetYourGuide only offered us a 50% refund, which would have meant losing more than €400. As a result, we felt we had no choice but to proceed with our trip to Paris. On the day of the activity itself (June 25), GetYourGuide cancelled our booking, and we were not even given the option to reschedule. What was supposed to be one of the highlights of our trip turned into our biggest disappointment. Very little effort was made to find a satisfactory solution. If a reasonable solution had been offered in advance, we would not have travelled to Paris. We are extremely dissatisfied with GetYourGuide's customer service and with the lack of an appropriate solution to this situation.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry for your disappointment and understand how frustrating this situation was for you and your group. Unfortunately, when your activity was canceled due to the extreme heat, there was no availability to reschedule. We apologize for not being able to offer a more flexible solution in advance. Your comments are important to us and will be shared with our team to improve our service.

Terrible Experience

Terrible Experience. I booked an afternoon tour of the tower. When I got the confirmation the tour time said 11:15. My flight will just be landing. I attempted to amend the time like you can do on another site but you couldn't. I didn't make a mistake. I canceled so I could reschedule and was charged a 50% penalty. I scheduled and canceled in under 10 minutes. I called and emailed to talk with someone and explain the circumstances. All I got was an email stating their policy. Not very good customer service if you ask me. I made my reservation with the another company and had a great experience. Site much easier to navigate and options to make changes without a money grab.

Paris: Eiffel Tower Guided Tour by Elevator: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.

How much does Paris: Eiffel Tower Guided Tour by Elevator cost?

+

Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Paris: Eiffel Tower Guided Tour by Elevator take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.

Is Paris: Eiffel Tower Guided Tour by Elevator worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 43 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Paris: Eiffel Tower Guided Tour by Elevator?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Paris: Eiffel Tower Guided Tour by Elevator suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Paris: Eiffel Tower Guided Tour by Elevator?

+

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Paris: Eiffel Tower Guided Tour by Elevator start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

+

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

+

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
