Best Paella Cooking Class in Barcelona!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rice to Meet You was easily one of the highlights of our entire trip to Barcelona! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely fantastic. Luis was amazing—warm, welcoming, entertaining, and incredibly knowledgeable. His passion for cooking, Spanish food, and the culture of Spain came through in everything he shared. He didn’t just teach us how to make paella; he made the whole experience fun, personal, and memorable. We learned so much while laughing, cooking, eating, and enjoying every minute. The entire experience was so well done, and the food was incredible. It felt like so much more than a cooking class—it was a wonderful taste of Spanish culture and hospitality. Of everything we did in Barcelona, this was at the very top of our list. If you’re visiting Barcelona, do yourself a favor and book Rice to Meet You. It is an absolute must! Thank you, Luis, for such an unforgettable experience. We’ll be talking about this one for a long time! 🇪🇸🥘❤️

Fantastic cooking experience
We were a mixed group of 2 mums and 3 older teen boys. Mums keen … boys not so, but we all had a brilliant time! Host was very warm and welcoming… restaurant/ kitchen very organised and we all loved eating the individual paella dishes we cooked ! We were also given lovely tortillas on tomato bread and a delicious dessert. Wine flowed throughout the experience (carva and 2 different white wines … all delicious). Would totally recommend!

An experience that must be repeated
The paella workshop was an excellent experience. We learned to make it step by step, with a good pace and clear explanations, and the best part is that you cook it yourself and then eat your own paella. The atmosphere is super pleasant, perfect for going in a group or as a couple. The friendly and fun service at all times, and the quality-price ratio is unbeatable for everything it includes. We left delighted and eager to return. Highly recommended.
Response from the operator: Gracias, Alessandra! Nos encanta que disfrutarais tanto cocinando y comiendo vuestra propia paella. Os esperamos pronto de nuevo en Rice to Meet You!

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Paella Cooking Class in Barcelona | Small Group, Cava & Wine: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Paella Cooking Class in Barcelona | Small Group, Cava & Wine cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Paella Cooking Class in Barcelona | Small Group, Cava & Wine take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Paella Cooking Class in Barcelona | Small Group, Cava & Wine worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Paella Cooking Class in Barcelona | Small Group, Cava & Wine?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Paella Cooking Class in Barcelona | Small Group, Cava & Wine suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Paella Cooking Class in Barcelona | Small Group, Cava & Wine?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Paella Cooking Class in Barcelona | Small Group, Cava & Wine start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
