Incredible family experience.
The gourmet rice course was super dynamic, participative, and had a great atmosphere. Professor Héctor conducted a very enjoyable class; each group prepared a type of rice, we learned many techniques, and best of all, at the end of the class, we were able to eat the rice and paellas, everything was delicious, highly recommended!

The best culinary experience of our trip to Barcelona! Incredible.
We were looking for a different activity to do as a group during our time in the Gràcia neighborhood, and finding this cooking workshop was an absolute success. From the very first minute, the atmosphere is super welcoming, and the space is spotless, but what truly makes the experience a 10 is the team. The chef is a true professional: not only does he demonstrate an incredible knowledge of culinary techniques (we did the tapas and rice workshop), but he also has amazing patience and a sense of humor that makes you feel like you are at a friend's house. He taught us professional tricks that I am already applying in my kitchen, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh, of top-notch quality. At the end, we shared dinner with the rest of the group paired with a good wine. The quality-price ratio (55€ per person) is unbeatable for everything it includes: learning, a full dinner, drinks, and an unforgettable time. If you are in Barcelona, whether you are a local or from elsewhere, this workshop is a must-do. We will definitely return to try the Japanese cooking one!

Authentic Techniques of Traditional Spanish Dishes
We had an amazing time making tapas and paella with Jimena. My wife, daughter, and I had a great time cooking and chatting with Jimena in a private lesson. My daughter (4 YO) was a little too shy to engage with the class, but my wife and I enjoyed being instructed by and cooking alongside Jimena. She is a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef who taught us the traditional techniques of paella but also offered a wealth of information on different varieties. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you, your wife, and your daughter had such a great time during your private cooking class in Barcelona with Chef Jimena. We take great pride in having Le Cordon Bleu-trained professionals on our team, ensuring that our guests don't just have fun, but truly master the traditional techniques of authentic Spanish cuisine. It was an absolute pleasure hosting your family. Even if your little one was a bit shy, we hope you all took home wonderful memories of cooking paella and making tapas together. Your kind words and recommendation mean the world to everyone here at Sabores Taller de Cocina. We would love to welcome you back to our kitchen in the beautiful Gràcia neighborhood whenever you visit Barcelona again! Warmest regards, The Sabores Team

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Paella, Tapas and Sangría Cooking Class in Barcelona: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Paella, Tapas and Sangría Cooking Class in Barcelona cost?
+
Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Paella, Tapas and Sangría Cooking Class in Barcelona take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Paella, Tapas and Sangría Cooking Class in Barcelona worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Paella, Tapas and Sangría Cooking Class in Barcelona?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Paella, Tapas and Sangría Cooking Class in Barcelona suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Paella, Tapas and Sangría Cooking Class in Barcelona?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Paella, Tapas and Sangría Cooking Class in Barcelona start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
