About this experience

This 4-course workshop lasts approximately 2.5 hours and is a great introduction to the world of paella and Spanish cuisine.  You will be greeted by one of our hosts with a glass of cava and then walked through the concept behind our club and the ingredients we work with. Afterwards, guests will organize in groups of two per cooking station, where they will find every utensil and ingredient needed to cook each paella in a fully immersive and dynamic matter. Depending on the amount of guests, several paella recipes will be made so that guests get to taste and learn how to cook more than one type of paella.  You will feel at home while our staff guides you through our "10 secret paella steps." As a preview, we'll give away one of the 10 secret steps: Step 1—take a sip of our premium wine. After the workshop is over, while the paellas are finishing cooking, you will sit and enjoy other courses made by our chef as well as your paella creations with Catalan wine pairing.

So personalized and felt luxurious at every step

Hands down the most fun our team has had at a cooking class, and several of us have done a few. It's not just ‘watch and learn’ you're dancing, eating, drinking, and cooking all at once. We walked away actually knowing how to make paella, but honestly the vibe alone was worth it. If you want a team activity people are still talking about weeks later, this is it.

Fun but not so much food

What a nice experience! We went as 2 couples and e had a great time. Our host did a very good job of keeping the whole activity interactive and fun. Wine was flowing the whole time. What would say— we left hungry! There was a seafood paella that was made with 4 shrimp for 6 people … a veggie and a chicken. When it came down to eating, we devoured each of them and got tapas on our way home. Overall experience was great though.

Fun and low stress plan for an evening in Barcet

It was a fun evening with knowledgable guidance. We learned, enjoyed the people and drank a fair amount too. Fun evening.

A fun and memorable evening!

We learned some great tips for making paella, and also enjoyed sampling all of the varieties. Our host, Kevin, was energetic and made the experience very fun. Highly recommend.

Paella Club

This experience was a Christmas gift from our children. Wonderful! A+. My husband has always wanted to make paella the correct way. This class did not disappoint. The cooking stations were spacious, the kitchen was beautiful and inviting. Most of all, the paella was absolutely delicious. Great step by step guidance by our professional chef. The music was flowing and the Cava was flowing!

Paella Cooking Class with Professional Chef: Four Course Dinner: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Paella Cooking Class with Professional Chef: Four Course Dinner cost?

+

Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Paella Cooking Class with Professional Chef: Four Course Dinner take?

+

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Paella Cooking Class with Professional Chef: Four Course Dinner worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 565 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Paella Cooking Class with Professional Chef: Four Course Dinner?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Paella Cooking Class with Professional Chef: Four Course Dinner suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Paella Cooking Class with Professional Chef: Four Course Dinner?

+

Around 198 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Paella Cooking Class with Professional Chef: Four Course Dinner start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
