What you'll see and do

  1. Ouzoud Falls

The day starts leaving Marrakech behind. At 8:00 hours we will head east towards Ouzoud, in the province of Azilal. During the journey, of approximately three hours, we will go through different villages, enjoying their life and their landscapes. Once we arrive at the Ouzoud Waterfalls, you will have free time to explore the area around 3h, enjoying the local flora and fauna (it is common to find small monkeys) and eat at the beach bars overlooking the fantastic waterfalls. You will be impressed with its 110 meters of fall: a sight for both sight and hearing. You have 3 hours on the site. You can choose to take a guide or explore the place on your own. If you are hot and brave enough, you can take the opportunity to bathe in the river. Although the water is usually quite fresh, we assure you that you will not be the only ones. We will be back in Marrakech late in the afternoon.

Don’t do it

My recent experience left me quite disappointed. Firstly, I was unexpectedly charged an extra 400 Moroccan currency, which wasn't mentioned in the booking terms and conditions, especially considering the hotel's distance. The coach ride was uncomfortably cramped, leaving no room to move comfortably. The waterfall visit, which was a significant part of the trip, turned out to be underwhelming, with only a brief encounter with some monkeys during the walk. Considering the 3-4 hours journey to reach the destination, it simply wasn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend this experience; it felt like a waste of money.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the review, and we will make it clear also from outside so everyone knows that you've tried to blackmail us. Your hotel was located 27km outside of the city (pickup and drop off then is 54km extra), still we offered to cancel the booking for free or to pay the extra (200 dirhams each way which is the lowest you'll ever find) but still you came back to us arguing. We can not make things free otherwise it won't be called a business but a charity association. You're even complaining about "nature" so we are not honestly surprised and the other travellers reading your review won't be surprised too about your low mark review. All in all, we can't make unhappy people happy and you can't blackmail people if they ain't taking you for free then you'll have to leave a bad review. This is only showing that our reviews are authentic and that there is still some people trying to take advantage of the others and get things for free (which we'll never let happen from our end).

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does Ouzoud Waterfalls: Day Trip from Marrakech cost?

Prices start at $17 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ouzoud Waterfalls: Day Trip from Marrakech take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is Ouzoud Waterfalls: Day Trip from Marrakech worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ouzoud Waterfalls: Day Trip from Marrakech?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ouzoud Waterfalls: Day Trip from Marrakech suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Ouzoud Waterfalls: Day Trip from Marrakech?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ouzoud Waterfalls: Day Trip from Marrakech start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
