An excellent desert trip
I really like the experience. The guide was so funny and he really knows everything about the place. One good thing is that he can speak several languages and like this he could made everyone feeling inside the group. There was also lots of activities to do in the desert and it’s impossible to get bored. The group was amazing too even though they were Spanish speakers and I’m not so good in expressing myself in the language. Food was also good. The time passed in the desert was really enough and two days is the ideal time for doing everything. The groups were organised so well that there was no crowd at all. There was space and time for e everyone to do everything. I would recommend it.

We had high expectations...
We had high expectations for this tour given the five star rating. Unfortunately, the company stuck us on a Spanish-speaking trip after we booked an English tour. We were told the driver would translate for us but that was not the case. Don’t get us wrong - the desert is incredible, and Ait Benhaddou is a great stop, but our tours there were also in Spanish. We could have gotten past this if the trip weren’t made so much longer by the number of unnecessary stops. The drive back is supposed to take 8-9 hours, but it took 12. We stopped almost every hour, sometimes every two, for the “tour guide” to smoke a cigarette, but each stop had to be a 20-30 minute ordeal even if we were just at a grocery store. I was also hoping for more history information on this trip, given Morocco’s rich history in these areas, but there was nothing informative said along the tour (even in Spanish). I would highly recommend getting a private guide, or flying to the airport that is a 2 hour drive from Merzouga. The hotel we stayed at the first night in Dades was nasty, and we both got serious intestinal issues from the buffet. The desert accommodations were much better (we knew going in that they weren’t actually going to be “luxury.” Camel ride was awesome, but you can get that without taking this van. The van was also very hot. We asked for AC several times but it would be turned on for a little bit and then off. It was one of the longest days of my life getting back to Marrakech.

3 day trip to the Sahara - great trip & lots of fun
We had such a blast with Hassan and our lovely group to stay in a tent in the Sahara. Somehow as English speakers, we had booked ourselves on to an almost exclusively Spanish tour but our new amigos were very welcoming and always fun - as there's a lot of time spent in a small minibus (14 of us on the trip), they kept us laughing regularly. The numerous stops on the way are terrific, always time very well spent, and by turns beautiful, awesome and entertaining. The landscape of Morocco is constantly fascinating and varied. And visiting the Sahara is extraordinary, affecting even - and more fun again on camels and quad bike. A really special trip. Thanks to everyone for making it so good.
