What you'll see and do
Ouzoud Waterfalls
The Ouzoud Falls - Cascades d'Ouzoud - are 110 m high which makes it the second tallest waterfall in Africa. It’s a huge touristic destination and one of the most visited and photographed natural sites in all of Morocco. It stands atop of the Azilal region of Morocco, overlooking the Tanaghmeilt village. The waterfalls empty into the El-Abid River (Slaves' River). The word ‘Ouzoud’ was said to be Berber for ‘the act of grinding grain.’ Apparently, a lot of the buildings there happened to be grinding mills which probably utilizing the force of the water.

Best excursion in Marrakech
Incredible tour, Marwan is the best tour guide and we had a really good time. Everything was seamless, private and he gave us a great price. The trip can be tailored to you and I highly recommend going privately. Go with Marwan, he has good taste in music and speaks great english.

Nice activity and excellent driver/guide
The activity was superb I recommend the Ouzoud waterfalls. Provide water a swimsuit and good legs 😉 Our driver/guide Abdou was on top! 10/10 Cultivated he explains many things about his country. Benevolent and with little care, it will adapt to all your needs. His good humor and hospitality are worthy of Morocco. Thank you very much from Sylvie and Norman 🥰

Trustworthy operators
Mehdi was extremely helpful and the organisation and trips were amazing. Very trustworthy operation and nice buses and staff - I trust this place and had a few trip’s which were very organised and punctual. I even lost my jacket on one of the trips and they couldn’t do enough to help and my jacket was returned with all contents.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much and we are happy about your reviewing

Horrible Guide
Like others have mentioned, you get there and a guide appears out of nowhere asking for another 3 euros. We didn't want a guided tour so we declined. Rather than what has been implied in the company replies on here, it wasn't just a friendly offer you could easily decline. He pressured us to go with him, saying we would get lost on our own and bad things would happen and in the end we would miss the bus back home and get stuck because according to him the bus would leave right on time and not wait even 5 minutes. So we went with him and the ordeal began. Seriously at every tree or corner he stopped and made a terrible joke. It was so awkward, another younger group there was with us in the back rolling their eyes. But even if you would look to the ground, praying he wouldn't notice you, he would. He'd tap you on the shoulder trying to get a reaction from you for his joke. Halfway through me and my friends got fed up and left. He got really angry. We didn't even have time to really enjoy the waterfall, would've loved to have a meal with the view but couldn't. Found our way back to the bus just fine, when I confronted him about how he lied to us about getting lost and what he had to say for himself he got angry and said something about tourists being disrespectful. Also the bus left like half an hour later than what was scheduled. Horrible last day in Morocco of a wonderful 2 week stay! His name was Hamid.

Ouzoud waterfalls
Trip to Ouzoud waterfalls. It is always nice to see a driver to cooperate with a scammy guide. Paid only for transport (like some other people). When arrived, suddenly a guide appeared (price 3 euros per person). Fortunately, I didn't pay him (unlike others). Look for for a better company.
Response from the operator: Dear Marcel, Thank you for taking time to write your freed-back. First we are sorry about the misunderstanding you had in your trip to Ouzoud waterfalls . Regarding the local guide in Ouzoud waterfalls is not included in the trip , it is only an option as mentioned before . The driver just suggest a guide for the customers and they need to pay 3 euro per person if they want to go with him ,otherwise customers are free to go for their own and enjoy their trip, and after they meet the driver to take them back to Marrakech . Fortunately, you did not pay anything and we did not charge you anything . Please gently remove your review cause it does not represent our services and our company's reputation. Kind regards

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip from Marrakech: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip from Marrakech cost?
+
Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip from Marrakech take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip from Marrakech worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip from Marrakech?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip from Marrakech suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip from Marrakech?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip from Marrakech start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
