Highly recommend for locals and travelers
Three local residents and two out of town family went to our 4th annual Escape Room. Everyone agrees that it was a BLAST! Scavenger hunt meets Escape room though we worked as a team. Tons of fun!

Proper team building activity
Fun and tricky. Good team building game if you want to be outside seeing the city.

Had a BLAST!
Had a blast! It was definitely a little harder than expected given that we’d never done one before - so honestly the hints (or ChatGPT) are your friend for first timers! Really creative concept and we saw parts of the city we would have never seen otherwise. Also, really appreciated the inclusive features (transcriptions for video, color blind help, ect). Also really appreciated the pictures for things that weren’t there anymore - was still able to complete the puzzles. By the end of it we were starting to get the puzzles - but definitely suggest hints if you’re new to it! Overall, had a really incredible time and just really loved the concept.

Absolute blast!
We had an absolute blast with these puzzles! The puzzles were just the right amount of challenging for us. We did have to use clues on the last one but the other ones were really satisfying when we eventually solved them. We’ve talked about getting this for our family in other cities and also getting these for each new city we visit. We absolutely loved it. We got drinks and lunch along the way and spent a really nice afternoon running around the city. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes puzzles and escape rooms!

Return customers!
We have previously done the Dallas city Whodunnit, and had a really fun time doing the Denver upper downtown activity. It took us about 3 hours, and involved a medium amount of walking which we expected and enjoyed as it took us around some really fun parts of Denver. There was one clue that we found pretty easily but if it was snowing you would have a very difficult time to find it, so be mindful of that when you plan your trip. Also, we decided to park somewhere other than the recommendation from the box, and it was a lot cheaper and still only a short walk.

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Outdoor Escape Room in Denver - Upper Downtown: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Denver.
How much does Outdoor Escape Room in Denver - Upper Downtown cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Denver usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Outdoor Escape Room in Denver - Upper Downtown take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Denver is not rushed.
Is Outdoor Escape Room in Denver - Upper Downtown worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Denver, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Outdoor Escape Room in Denver - Upper Downtown?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Outdoor Escape Room in Denver - Upper Downtown suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Outdoor Escape Room in Denver - Upper Downtown?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Denver can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Denver and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Outdoor Escape Room in Denver - Upper Downtown start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Denver within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Denver?
+
Denver is a launch pad. Rocky Mountain National Park, Pikes Peak, Red Rocks and the Georgetown rail loop all run as day trips, and altitude makes the timing of your first hike matter. In town: brewery crawls, Union Station food walks and Red Rocks show nights. We rank mountain operators on van size, pace and whether they build in altitude acclimatisation. On Outty we rank every Denver experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Downtown Denver Food Tour, Twilight Ghost Tour, Small Group Tour of Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods from Denver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Denver?
+
June to September for open mountain passes, or December to March for ski shuttles. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Denver?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
