Excellent experience! Very relaxed atmosphere at the dive centre. Our instructor - Ayman Aref - was great very professional and able to explain everything well, our group consisted of me and my son 14, and a russian guy. Diving in the ocean at Far Garden Sharm el sheikh twice amazing.

An Unforgettable Diving Experience with Hamada & the Reef Oasis Team

Our experience at Reef Oasis Dive Club was absolutely amazing and became one of the highlights of our entire trip! My husband and I completed our Open Water certification with the club, as well as Nitrox certification. We also had the opportunity to do a night dive and join an unforgettable excursion to Tiran Island with three amazing dives. Every dive was well organized, safe and full of incredible marine life and beautiful underwater landscapes. A very special thank you to Hamada, who guided us throughout our diving experience. From the very beginning, he was incredibly professional, patient, friendly and supportive. He made us feel safe and confident both during the training and underwater, while also making every dive exciting and enjoyable. Thanks to Hamada, we not only completed our certifications but also discovered how incredible the underwater world of the Red Sea is. The night dive was a truly special experience, and the trip to Tiran Island with three dives was one of the absolute highlights of our holiday. We are truly grateful to Hamada and the entire Reef Oasis Dive Club team for their professionalism, care and hospitality. They made our first diving experience so special and created memories we will remember for a very long time. We would absolutely love to come back and continue exploring the underwater world with Hamada and the team. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a professional, friendly and reliable dive club in Sharm El Sheikh! 🤿🐠

Open Water Diver Course: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sharm el Sheikh.

How much does Open Water Diver Course cost?

    +

Prices start at $457 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sharm el Sheikh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Open Water Diver Course take?

    +

Plan for about 78 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sharm el Sheikh is not rushed.

Is Open Water Diver Course worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 277 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Sharm el Sheikh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Open Water Diver Course?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Open Water Diver Course suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 78-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Open Water Diver Course?

    +

Around 97 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sharm el Sheikh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sharm el Sheikh and add a light layer if any part of the 78-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Open Water Diver Course start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sharm el Sheikh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sharm el Sheikh?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sharm el Sheikh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sharm El sheikh Safari ATV Quad with Camel Ride & hotel transfer, Sharm El Sheikh: Ras Mohammed Snorkeling, Allah Gate & Magic Lake, Sharm El-Sheikh: Ultimate ATV Quad, Stargazing & BBQ Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sharm el Sheikh?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sharm el Sheikh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Open Water Diver Course?

    +
