Step back into living history
We had a wonderful half-day trip to Óbidos with our family of four, including two teenagers. Marco was an excellent guide—friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the history of Óbidos and everything we saw and learned along the way from Lisbon. He shared fascinating information about the region, making the drive just as interesting as the destination itself. Óbidos is a beautiful and unique town full of charm, history, and character. Our whole family enjoyed exploring the streets and learning about its past. The only drawback was that we wished we had more time there. We easily could have spent several more hours wandering the town, shopping, and taking in the atmosphere. Overall, this was a fantastic tour, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable and informative half-day trip from Lisbon. Don't miss Obidos
Although not the same as walking through the streets of Pompei, a trip to Obidos is a still a fascinating step back in time. This walled in city looks much like it did in the 12th Century and a walk atop the wall is a very cool experience. Our experience was greatly enhanced by having Marco as a guide, he combines an encyclopedic knowledge with a story-telling passion that any history buff will appreciate.

Amazing destination, great tour guide, could have spent a full day there!
Our trip to Obidos with Marco was fantastic. He was right on time, the vehicle was comfortable, we were provided with waters, and it was a smooth ride to the destination. Marco was very knowledgable about Obidos, and the history of Portugal in general. He allowed us to go at our own speed and never rushed us through the shops. We were even provided with delicious shots of liquor in chocolate glasses! My only complaint is that we didn't have enough time there. We did the half day tour and I could have easily spent a full day exploring Obidos, walking the wall and getting lunch there.
