It is very good. However we felt a little rushed in the cathedral. Guide was very knowledgeable but seemed like she wanted to get Don as soon as possible

GREAT TOUR GUIDE!

This was probably the best tour we’ve been on. Crystal, our guide, was so knowledgeable in the history of the Cathedral and its recent restoration. She was super prepared and provided context and details using images from her IPAD. Very well organized, the meet up was seamless as was the pace of the tour. I would highly recommend booking tours with Crystal.

First time tour

Our guide Alexandre was exceptional. Best guide of our many tours this trip. Very knowledgeable and polite. Had great introduction to the cathedral before entering providing a great deal of history and information about the structure and function. Has great illustrations to help understand all of the features to the cathedral both inside and out. He communicates via what app so make sure you have that app.

Wonderful visit to Notre Dame with Alexandre

Alexandre was amazing. He communicated with us the day before, suggesting a bit earlier meeting time, and his recommendation made the visit to Notre Dame even better. We arrived 5 minutes early, and he was already there ready to go. Alexandre was very knowledgeable and provided an amazing amount of historical and current insights. The details he pointed out made the experience better than any visit we had done in the past. We had visited Notre Dame a couple of times; both were before the fire. Seeing her today after the renovation was like seeing her when she was brand new. Although Alexandre’s native language is French, his English was very good. We had no issues understanding and conversing. Alexandre was very pleasant and engaging. We highly recommend booking a tour with him.

Fabulous Tour Guide but Not the Small Group Experience We Paid For

We purchased three tickets for a tour of Notre Dame that was billed as an “Interior Small Group Guided Tour Max 5 Participants” that was to begin at 8:45 am at a total cost of $245.10. Three days before the tour we were notified that the time had been changed to 1:00 pm. When we arrived at the appointed location there were 11 people scheduled for the tour, not the max 5 we booked and paid for. Had we known this was to happen we would have booked a large group tour at a lower price. Our tour guide, Milica, was superb. She was passionate and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Notre Dame, its construction, the art work, relics, the fire and the reconstruction. Our friend who joined us on this tour is a true Francophile who speaks French fluently. She was extremely impressed with Milica and said she learned a great deal as did my husband and I. In summary, we were extremely pleased to have Milica as our tour guide and unsatisfied with Viatour because we did not have the small group experience we had booked and paid for.

Response from the operator: We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour and that you liked your guide. Regarding the small-group experience, the situation was due to a last-minute change in Notre-Dame Cathedral’s access rules. Under the new rules, groups of five could no longer benefit from skip-the-line entry. For this reason, we combined several small groups into a larger one so that everyone could still enjoy skip-the-line access. In other words, while the group was larger than originally planned, the benefit you received was the skip-the-line entry, which replaced the original small-group advantage. We hope this helps clarify the situation, and we appreciate your understanding.

Notre Dame Cathedral Guided Tour with Entry: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.

How much does Notre Dame Cathedral Guided Tour with Entry cost?

+

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Notre Dame Cathedral Guided Tour with Entry take?

+

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.

Is Notre Dame Cathedral Guided Tour with Entry worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Notre Dame Cathedral Guided Tour with Entry?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Notre Dame Cathedral Guided Tour with Entry suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 1-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Notre Dame Cathedral Guided Tour with Entry?

+

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Notre Dame Cathedral Guided Tour with Entry start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

+

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

+

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
