Amazing Aurora hunt

We had Paul for the hunt and he is really the best person you can get, he really does everything to make the experience the best as possible - even if it seems impossible because of the weather, he makes it possible 😊 he takes amazing pictures and makes the hunt really special. Also the whole communication about the hunt beforehand from his brother Louis was on point, he updates you about the situation, so you have all the information you need and you know where you stand. If I would go on more aurora hunting tours in future, I would choose this one over and over again without hesitation - I wouldn’t even try to look for others! It’s really a value for money for sure. Thanks so much for this magical night!

Where Passion Meets the Northern Lights

We joined this tour with my sister and her boyfriend, and it turned out to be so much more than just a typical aurora tour — it actually felt like a real hunt ✨ Both guides were highly professional, but at the same time incredibly warm, fun, and easy to connect with. They explained everything in detail, guided us perfectly, and made sure we were always in the best possible spot. 💚 What really made a difference was the passion — especially from Louis. You can tell he’s genuinely into what he does, and that kind of energy makes the whole experience feel different… in a good way. 🫡 And I have to say, the dedication didn’t just stop when the tour ended — the follow-ups, the extra tips, and the attention were definitely noticed and appreciated. 🙏🏼 If you want an authentic aurora hunting experience with people who know exactly what they’re doing (and make it a little more memorable than expected), I’d absolutely recommend these two awesome brothers! 🤞🏼

Tour 100/ booking -10

The booking with Paul was not good he has no good treatment for costumer service and is very rude. But his brother Louis was our guide and he was nicer and a good guide. Recommend tour with Louis.

Best experience!

I got to know them Thai people so I make a booking with them. When I was there the weather was so so bad 100% clouds. They keep me updated all the time. However due to the weather conditions I thought I might not be able to see it, but thanks to the them i drove us to the place I was able to see it. It was tough as well about 4 hrs drive. They did not give up and drive till i am able to see the northern light. Also the photos were very nice i love it. Highly recommend them!!

I highly recommend! ⭐️

This was a truly once in a lifetime experience & I’m grateful that I booked it with Paul and Louis, professional guides with incredible knowledge about the aurora and how to hunt it. The experience was amazing and we got to see different stages of the aurora from the start to the end. This includes photos and videos as well with professional cameras! This was really unforgettably experience ✨ & thank you for making sure we stayed warm and arrived back safely 🤍

Northern Light Hunt with Photography from Rovaniemi: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rovaniemi.

How much does Northern Light Hunt with Photography from Rovaniemi cost?

+

Prices start at $199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rovaniemi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Northern Light Hunt with Photography from Rovaniemi take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rovaniemi is not rushed.

Is Northern Light Hunt with Photography from Rovaniemi worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Rovaniemi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Northern Light Hunt with Photography from Rovaniemi?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Northern Light Hunt with Photography from Rovaniemi suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Northern Light Hunt with Photography from Rovaniemi?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rovaniemi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rovaniemi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Northern Light Hunt with Photography from Rovaniemi start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rovaniemi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rovaniemi?

+

On Outty we rank every Rovaniemi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Rovaniemi: Guaranteed Viewing & Unlimited Mileage, Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ, Rovaniemi:%100 Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunt&Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rovaniemi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rovaniemi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
