    What you'll see and do

    1. Nohoch Che'en Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve

Learn about the local flora and fauna throughout a 30 minute hike along the rivers’ edge as we make our way to the entrance of the Jaguar Paw Cave. This natural wonder was carved out of the limestone foothills of the Maya Mountains by the river that runs through it and forms part of the largest cave system in all of Central America. Archaeological research notes that the ancient Maya visited the site to conduct important rituals. Once at the entrance we strap on our headlights and life vests and off we go. You are propelled by the gentle currents as your guide educates you about the natural formations found inside the cave. Making our way out of the first cave, the second portion becomes more exciting as the water flows faster. Kick back, relax and enjoy the ride! This is an amazing adventure and one you will always remember.

Wonderful tubing experience - Bern is an amazing guide!

Bern was a wonderful guide - patient, knowledgeable, and friendly with a great sense of humor. The tour/tubing never felt rushed, and it was a delightful way to spend the day. Excellent and tasty lunch was included as well. Highly recommend for any age traveler - we went with a family with three children, and Bern was able to tailor the tour to two adults in their 50s as well as the younger family.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you and your family had such an enjoyable cave tubing experience with us. Bern will be especially happy to hear your kind words. His patience, knowledge, sense of humor, and ability to make guests of all ages feel comfortable are qualities we truly value, and we’re delighted that he was able to tailor the experience so everyone in your group could enjoy the day. We’re also glad you enjoyed the lunch and, most importantly, that the tour felt relaxed and never rushed. Creating a fun, comfortable, and memorable experience for every member of the family is exactly what we strive for. Thank you for choosing Cayo Inland Expeditions and for recommending us to travelers of all ages. We hope to welcome you and your family back for another Belize adventure someday!

    Awesome tubing trip!!

We had an incredible time on our cave tubing adventure! It was such an awesome experience and our two kids, 6 and 8, loved it too. Our guide, Bern, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and very kind. Honeymoon in Belize

My wife and I were very happy with Cayo Inland Expeditions and would book our tours and intra-Belize transport with them again. John Hales (Cayo owner) was super responsive to our questions and very accommodating. Pedro was our guide on a half-day cave tubing trip. Not only does he have a warm and friendly disposition, but he's also a scholar of Mayan culture and Belizean animals and plant life. Wayne (our driver to/from airport to GAIA River Lodge) was also friendly and reliable. Overall, a great experience with Cayo Inland!

Response from the operator: Hi! Thanks a lot for your wonderful review. We are blessed to have a great team of people working together. It was such a pleasure having you both with us during your honeymoon. All the best guys

    You must go!

From pick up to drop off, this trip was perfect. Dimas was both our driver and guide. He took such good care of us. Double checked that we had proper shoes, clothes, phone protectors, bug spray, etc. He was very cautious and made sure we got to the water in one piece. Once we got in, he took over. We learned so much and were able to just relax and enjoy the experience. If you go (and you should). I hope you get Dimas. He worked hard to make sure everything was perfect (and it was).

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that your cave tubing adventure was perfect from start to finish. Dimas will be overjoyed to know how much you appreciated his care, attention to detail, and passion for guiding—he truly goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels safe, prepared, and relaxed. We’re glad you enjoyed learning about the area and were able to fully take in the experience. Thank you for recommending the tour and for highlighting Dimas’ hard work. We hope to welcome you back for more Belize adventures soon!

How much does Nohoch Che'en Cave Tubing Adventure from San Ignacio (Jaguar Paw) cost?

    +

Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Ignacio usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Nohoch Che'en Cave Tubing Adventure from San Ignacio (Jaguar Paw) take?

Is Nohoch Che'en Cave Tubing Adventure from San Ignacio (Jaguar Paw) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Ignacio, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Nohoch Che'en Cave Tubing Adventure from San Ignacio (Jaguar Paw)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Nohoch Che'en Cave Tubing Adventure from San Ignacio (Jaguar Paw) suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Nohoch Che'en Cave Tubing Adventure from San Ignacio (Jaguar Paw)?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Ignacio can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Ignacio and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit San Ignacio?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in San Ignacio?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
