    Great ninja dojo

Really fun experience. Couple of hours went so quickly. Cozy dojo and shop, not too crouded which gave personalized touch to each participant :)

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review both here and on Google! We truly appreciate your support. Everyone on our team is very grateful for your kind words.

Fun and engaging activity for all!

This was a fun experience for the family. It was very engaging from donning the clothes to learning the history, and practicing techniques including stealthy walking, using hidden doors, and throwing stars, knives, and blowing darts. A great activity for our teens and adults alike!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that the whole family enjoyed the experience, from learning about ninja history to trying various techniques. We’re especially happy that both teens and adults had a great time! We hope to see you all again soon!

Our family had a great time! My 3 teenage sons loved this experience the best. Great teacher and good all around learning about ninjas!

    Family Fun activity.

This ninja experience was absolutely amazing. Our instructor was patient and thorough with her directions. Her assistant outfitted us, took pictures of us throughout the event, and emailed the pictures to us. We were introduced to ninja warmup/meditation, walking, sword technique, and interacted with ninja stars, blow darts, and other weapons. Great shop within the dojo to buy items to take home (offers shipping for larger items). 5 stars and great for a family!!

Excellent personal ninja martial arts experience

As a practitioner of various martial arts (the kind without weapons), I booked this in order to get experience of that other type of art. My teacher (I never asked her name, oops!) was very nice, knowledgeable, and fluent in English. She also entertained my attempts to speak Japanese too lol. We went through various aspects of ninja martial arts and techniques. There are the ones we see in anime, like hand signs and hiding behind rotating walls, but there was also cultural lessons about how each weapon or tool was used. Somehow my previous training helped a lot for all the physical motions and techniques. I was able to hit targets with shuriken and such, and my swordplay was decent enough to do a short fight choreography with my teacher. I was allowed to record the whole session for my personal vlog. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in martial arts culture, just be careful that it’s somewhat physically demanding!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kyoto.

How much does Ninja 2-hour Hands-on Lesson by Japanese master in Kyoto -Medium cost?

    +

Prices start at $92 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kyoto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ninja 2-hour Hands-on Lesson by Japanese master in Kyoto -Medium take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kyoto is not rushed.

Is Ninja 2-hour Hands-on Lesson by Japanese master in Kyoto -Medium worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 245 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kyoto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ninja 2-hour Hands-on Lesson by Japanese master in Kyoto -Medium?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ninja 2-hour Hands-on Lesson by Japanese master in Kyoto -Medium suitable for kids and families?

    +

Around 86 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kyoto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kyoto and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Kyoto?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kyoto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kyoto : Gion Make Your Own Chopsticks with Engraving Option, Award-Winning Authentic Ramen Making Experience in Kyoto, Hidden Kyoto E-Biking tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kyoto?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kyoto?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
