    Could be better

We found this tour to be OK as we seemed to be rushed, the pace in the market could have been a little slower to take it all in. Plus would have been better to have actually eaten in the market itself, rather than a 7min walk to a restaurant where the food was ok, not fabulous.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re sorry to hear that the pace of the tour felt rushed and that the dining experience did not fully meet your expectations. We appreciate your comments regarding the time spent exploring the market and the location of the restaurant. Your feedback is valuable, and we will share it with our team as we continue to improve the tour experience. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide a more enjoyable experience next time.

Hikaru was a fantastic guide!! We have taken numerous guided tours and he was by far the most knowledgeable, positive and professional guide during our journey to Japan. I can’t recommend this tour enough!

Poor communication, keep yr booking email amd phone early if issue with booking.

We didn't actually go, so have no idea what it's like. Be careful to keep your booking email, as I wasn't able to open the booking on TripAdvisor, I thought it was cancelled, as all my other bookings worked fine.l, this kept taking me in a loop saying come back later. Couldn't find the original booking email. Couldn't see what day or time etc even. No communication from the company until the day before, when the money had already left my account and it was too late to cancel/move it. Unnecessary stress on our trip of a lifetime. Viator refused to listen and insisted it's too late to cancel, even though this was not the issue. Be warned!!

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you experienced difficulties accessing your booking information and that this caused stress during your trip. Regarding the cancellation request, please note that we have a cancellation policy in place, and the cancellation was requested after the free cancellation period had already passed. Therefore, we were unable to provide a refund or make changes to the booking at that time. We understand how frustrating this situation must have been, and we appreciate your feedback regarding the booking confirmation and communication process. We will continue working to improve the guest experience. Thank you for your understanding.

    Completely satisfied

We lived the history on our tour. Chie was very knowledgeable and accommodating. I needed to get something at the pharmacy Chie helped us find the right item immediately. In addition, my daughter asked for her help with purchasing an item. Chie didn’t hesitate at all. It was perfect. We were definitely happy with our tour and Chie as our guide.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that you had a great experience with Chie. It's wonderful to know that Chie was able to support you throughout the tour and help make your experience more comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you again for joining our tour, and we hope to welcome you and your family on another experience in the future!

Nishiki Market Brunch Walking Tour (7 Tastings + Brunch): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kyoto.

How much does Nishiki Market Brunch Walking Tour (7 Tastings + Brunch) cost?

    +

Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kyoto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Nishiki Market Brunch Walking Tour (7 Tastings + Brunch) take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kyoto is not rushed.

Is Nishiki Market Brunch Walking Tour (7 Tastings + Brunch) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 92 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 1,491 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Kyoto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Nishiki Market Brunch Walking Tour (7 Tastings + Brunch)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Nishiki Market Brunch Walking Tour (7 Tastings + Brunch) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Nishiki Market Brunch Walking Tour (7 Tastings + Brunch)?

    +

Around 522 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kyoto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kyoto and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Nishiki Market Brunch Walking Tour (7 Tastings + Brunch) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kyoto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kyoto?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kyoto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kyoto : Gion Make Your Own Chopsticks with Engraving Option, Award-Winning Authentic Ramen Making Experience in Kyoto, Hidden Kyoto E-Biking tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kyoto?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kyoto?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
