Magical!
Beautiful experience!! Really enjoyed seeing the forest at night- the trees under heaps of snow were magical and sparkly. Thomas was a great guide and helped us take some good pictures of the Northern lights when they appeared. It was also interesting to learn how to make a fire with traditional methods. Thanks for a great experience!

Great trip with or without Northern Lights!
We have liked this tour so much, we have done it twice! Last year we did it mid-Feb and it was unseasonably warm and rainy. No chance of Northern Lights but still a fun snowshoeing adventure in the wild. This year, lots of lights and a really magical experience — again really peaceful to be among the trees in the wild. Tour guide is knowledgeable, area is beautiful, and absolutely would recommend. It’s always fun to do an experience combining Northern Lights with another activity just in case and guides are great at adapting. Truly love this outfitter!

Amazing experience
We had a great time. It was fun snowshoeing in the dark. We even saw the northern lights and a great view from the top of a hill. Our guide was also really nice!

It's very nice to hear that you had such a great time and saw the Northern Lights during your tour. Greetings from the Arctic Circle! Warm regards, Dominik Wild About Lapland

Lovely night adventure - well guided
Extremely good, knowledgeable, friendly guide Good program combined - with snow shoes on a small lake and through the forest, looking for aurora lights (succesful), and grill in a small hut.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words and nice review! We are happy to hear that Night Snowshoeing under the Northern Lights met your expectations! Welcome back anytime in the future! Warm regards, Dominik Wild About Lapland

Snowshoeing in a magical place
We snowshoeed with the snow falling so we didn't see the dawn... on the other hand, in a Sami tent the guide prepared frankfurters and a hot drink... the only flaw was that he had to give us more torches to see the route and avoid falls and evaluate the group's capabilities...
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're glad to hear that despite not being able to see the aurora, you enjoyed the snowshoeing experience and the warm refreshments in the Sami tent. We appreciate your feedback regarding the need for more torches to illuminate the path and the importance of assessing the group's abilities. We'll take your suggestions into consideration to enhance our future tours and ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for all our guests. If you have any further comments or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to us. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for another adventure in the future. Warm regards, Wild About Lapland Team

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Night Snowshoeing Adventure under the Northern Lights: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rovaniemi.
How much does Night Snowshoeing Adventure under the Northern Lights cost?
+
Prices start at $124 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rovaniemi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Night Snowshoeing Adventure under the Northern Lights take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rovaniemi is not rushed.
Is Night Snowshoeing Adventure under the Northern Lights worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rovaniemi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Night Snowshoeing Adventure under the Northern Lights?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Night Snowshoeing Adventure under the Northern Lights suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Night Snowshoeing Adventure under the Northern Lights?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rovaniemi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rovaniemi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Night Snowshoeing Adventure under the Northern Lights start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rovaniemi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rovaniemi?
+
On Outty we rank every Rovaniemi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Rovaniemi: Guaranteed Viewing & Unlimited Mileage, Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ, Rovaniemi:%100 Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunt&Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rovaniemi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rovaniemi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
