Caterina was absolutely fantastic (and the tasting was too!)

This Greece trip was my first time out of the US, and I have found Philoxenia (friend to a stranger) to be a big theme of the trip. Caterina welcomed my brother and I like we were family into her workshop for a tasting that was a massive highlight of our trip. First, the workshop was very pleasant with all of the olive oils, fruit spoon sweets, and other island delights lining the walls. Then Caterina offered us some delicious pastries that her grandmother had made, which we had not expected but were delightful! We had a traditional orange olive oil cake, milk cake, and the spinach and feta pastry. They were served with different flavors of olive oils (like basil and orange), as well as cherry spoon sweets, which were the BEST THING EVER. Everything we had at this tasting was genuinely some of the best little snacks we had in all of Naxos. We even had fresh Greek olives (which I usually hate), but they were fantastic too! Caterina was very knowledgeable about everything to do with the olive oil process, very kind, and her English was perfect for travelers who don't have a lot of Greek words down just yet : ) I pretty much bought one of every type of item her workshop offers after the tasting, and now that I am home, I am kicking myself that I didn't purchase more! If I ever get the chance to go back to Naxos, Greece, doing another experience with Caterina would be at the top of my bucket list.

Such a unique and fun experience. On top of the trying local olive oils and honey, we got treated to grandmas cooking!

Katerina is the perfect hostess on this lovely Naxos Olive Oil & Honey Tasting!

All I can say is Wow! Unfortunately my wife and daughter couldn’t go because they were a bit under the weather, so I went on my own. I’m so glad because this was such a truly great experience. Let’s start with the host, Katerina, from the Real Wanderers olive oil boutique in Naxos town. She is a truly special person, and that is a complete understatement! What an absolutely lovely soul. The one-on-one sit down tasting of olive oils, honeys, pastries, and other assorted treats was delightful, and felt very personal. It was great to do that blind taste test and try the olive oils with different foods. Plus the boutique is a small modern and comfortable studio right off the street. Once the tasting was over, Katerina prepared a care package of home made goodies for my wife and daughter to enjoy at our AirBnB. Such a sweet gesture, and much appreciated. We’ve been back to visit her on the same trip a couple of times, and will visit once more before we leave. This experience can’t be missed!

Naxos Town 45 Olive Oil and Honey Tasting with local bites: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naxos.

How much does Naxos Town 45 Olive Oil and Honey Tasting with local bites cost?

    +

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naxos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Naxos Town 45 Olive Oil and Honey Tasting with local bites take?

    +

Plan for about 0.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naxos is not rushed.

Is Naxos Town 45 Olive Oil and Honey Tasting with local bites worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naxos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Naxos Town 45 Olive Oil and Honey Tasting with local bites?

Is Naxos Town 45 Olive Oil and Honey Tasting with local bites suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Naxos Town 45 Olive Oil and Honey Tasting with local bites?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naxos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naxos and add a light layer if any part of the 0.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Naxos Town 45 Olive Oil and Honey Tasting with local bites start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naxos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naxos?

    +

On Outty we rank every Naxos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Naxos:Half-day cooking class at Basiliko Farm, Naxos Perivoli Farm Experience & Wood-fire Cooking Class, Naxos Kayak Tour to Rina Cave with Snorkeling and Homemade lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naxos?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naxos?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
