The Highlight of Our Trip to Naxos

This was such an amazing experience not only was the water and views amazing, but the staff (Cpt. Giannis Jr, Stravroula, and Zizi) was wonderful and kind. Before the trip even began, the staff was responsive with our questions online. When we arrived Stravroula and ZiZi were very friendly and extremely welcoming. They were able to address our concerns about the windy weather. Our tour included getting history of the islands which is something we love, gorgeous views, stopping at two spots (including a cave which was crazy!!), relaxing sailing, a delicious and healthy snack, and of course wine. Giannis (Jr.), our captain, even let our tweens and tweens steer the boat on the way back which had them freaking out with excitement. My 16 year old was actually impressed and smiling from ear to ear! Between the friendliness of all of the staff, the variety in the boat tour, the beauty of the Greek islands, I now know why people said you must do this if you come (shout out to all the blogs and people who share for the recommendation). I will echo that sentiment. You cannot leave with out a boat tour. And please choose Gialitissa; Rina Cave Boat Tours. I really like to support good and kind people. Oh and the boat was really clean (I am a germaphobe and hate a mess). And finally, icing on the cake....they took pictures with a GoPro and DSLR the images were included!!! If you come to Naxos, make sure you book them. You will not regret it!

Response from the operator: We are incredibly moved by your deeply kind and thoughtful review! It is moments like this—seeing teenagers light up with joy and knowing we've made our guests feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home—that make everything we do worth it. Stavroula, Zizi, and Captain Giannis Jr. are sending you the biggest hug. Thank you for your amazing support, for appreciating our clean boat, and for sharing your experience so beautifully. You arrived as guests, but you leave as part of our extended family. Wishing you all the very best in life!

    This was a lovely...

This was a lovely experience. My family had a chance to get into the water and experience Rina Cave without being on a crowded boat. Make sure you give yourself enough time to get to the takeoff point so that you can enjoy the ride down the island and see all of the little villages and scenery along the way. Bonus points to stop and jump in the ocean a few times along the journey.

Response from the operator: We appreciate your kind words and are so glad your family had such a peaceful, uncrowded experience. May the rest of your year be filled with smiles, wonderful family moments, and excellent health!

One of our favorite Greece experiences

I went with a group of friends (12 of us) and we all had a wonderful time. Starting from the west coast, we stopped to visit several central mountain villages before making our way south east to to Panermos. The drive over from Apeirenthos to Panermos was very memorable and reminiscent of some Mediterranean version of Canada's East Coast drives. Captain Yannis and his team are a joy to chat with and were very positive throughout. We really enjoyed his history lessons of the island and sipping wine in the pristine waters. Several swim assists were provided for some less confident swimmers in our group. Rina's cave itself was nice to see but we really enjoyed snorkeling in the area and appreciated the beach stops to discover cool rocks. We paid 330 euros which we found very worth it for the experience. Although we had an unconventional group size and needed to get to Panermos a little later in the afternoon, we were accommodate for. The tour itself lasted around 2 and 12 hour for us.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are glad that the drive from Apeiranthos, the swim stops, and our local wine made for a great afternoon with your friends. Wishing your group a wonderful future filled with safe travels, beautiful coastal routes, and many more pleasant moments together!

Outstanding Experience For Family of 5

This 2-hour boat trip was the highlight of our visit to Naxos. As a family of five with children ages 10, 12, and 14, we were looking for something that would let us experience the water, see the cave, and enjoy the coastline without taking up an entire day or breaking the budget. This trip was exactly what we hoped for. We had the boat to ourselves, which made the experience even more special. Along the way to Rhina Cave, our guide shared interesting facts about the area’s history and pointed out notable landmarks. Once we arrived, we all jumped in and swam into the cave. Goggles, pool noodles, and life jackets were available for anyone who wanted them. Our guide explained the history and features of the cave, took photos for us, and even gave us the opportunity to jump from the cliffs into the crystal-clear water outside. Later, we stopped near a secluded beach where we could swim, explore the shore, or simply relax on the boat. We were then treated to a delicious Greek salad, fresh melon, and local wine while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. On the ride back, our children were even allowed to take turns steering the boat, which was a memorable experience for them. By the end of the trip, we were completely satisfied and grateful we had chosen this excursion. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and professional, and the value for what we paid was outstanding. Our family would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Naxos.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We are glad that the cave swim, the cliff jumping, and the snack on board suited your family so well, and it was a pleasure letting the kids take turns at the wheel. Wishing you and your children many more fun family adventures and safe travels wherever you go!

How much does Naxos: Private Traditional Boat Trip to Rina Cave from Panermos cost?

    +

Prices start at $310 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naxos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Naxos: Private Traditional Boat Trip to Rina Cave from Panermos take?

Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naxos and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naxos?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naxos?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
