Tour was great Driver and guide ,Francis , was kind, polite and great. The car was horrible.Old van , cold, noisy, uncomfortable .It was not proper for off road like trip.I told last night I need a more comfortable car but they ignored me.

Nakuru day trip – good views & chill vibes with friends

We went for a day trip to nakuru as a group of friends. the drive was smooth and the park felt calm. we saw rhinos from a distance and a bunch of zebras moving around the open area. flamingos on the lake were really nice to watch, the pink color looks different when you see it live. we also chose to do the boat ride at lake naivasha. that part was super relaxing… slow ride, fresh air, and hippos chilling in the water. everyone was taking small videos and pics. felt like a break from city noise. our guide explained things in a simple way and stopped whenever we wanted some extra photos. no rush, easy day, just enjoyable. if you are going with friends and want a light wildlife day trip, this one works well.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re happy to hear that your day trip to Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha was such an enjoyable outing for you and your friends. It’s great that the drive was smooth and the park’s calm atmosphere allowed you to enjoy the wildlife — from rhinos and zebras in the open plains to the beautiful pink flamingos along the lake. We’re also glad you chose to add the Lake Naivasha boat ride. It truly is one of the most relaxing experiences — fresh air, gentle water, and hippos resting nearby. Perfect for capturing videos and photos, and even better for escaping the city noise. It’s wonderful to hear that your guide made the day easy and unhurried, stopping for all the photos and explaining things clearly. Thank you again for traveling with us. We’re delighted the trip offered the light, refreshing wildlife experience you were looking for, and we hope to welcome you and your friends again soon!

Nakuru National Park Day Tour with Optional Boat Ride Lake Naivasha: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.

How much does Nakuru National Park Day Tour with Optional Boat Ride Lake Naivasha cost?

+

Prices start at $230 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Nakuru National Park Day Tour with Optional Boat Ride Lake Naivasha take?

+

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.

Is Nakuru National Park Day Tour with Optional Boat Ride Lake Naivasha worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Nakuru National Park Day Tour with Optional Boat Ride Lake Naivasha?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Nakuru National Park Day Tour with Optional Boat Ride Lake Naivasha suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 12-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Nakuru National Park Day Tour with Optional Boat Ride Lake Naivasha?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Nakuru National Park Day Tour with Optional Boat Ride Lake Naivasha start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nairobi?

+

On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nairobi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nairobi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
