    1. Nairobi National Park

After a pick up at 6:00am from your hotel/airport, Begin your tour to Nairobi National park through the main gate for a 3 hour game drive. Your guide will be aiming to show you as much variety of animals as possible. If you’re lucky, you may spot the rhinos and lions getting ready for the morning and giraffes, impalas and much more. Even though downtown Nairobi is a few miles away, this is no city zoo or theme park. Despite this being the oldest (1946) and one of its smallest parks in Kenya, sightings of lions and hyenas are regular. It boasts of over 400 species of birds including the majestic Ostrich. Kifaru is Swahili for rhinoceros – the park supports the largest population of endangered black rhinos in Kenya. Appropriately, the park has earned the nickname Kifaru Ark. As the population of rhinos here continues to grow, the park has become a source of the endangered species, supplying them to other parks around the country

    3. Your last stop on this busy city safari is a testament to self-determination, creativity, and the Kenyan spirit. The many beads and other ornamentation produced here are indeed very beautiful. This handiwork is the creation of hundreds of determined and skilled women who craft these ceramic beads, making artistic jewelry that’s seen and sold all over the world. Begun in 1975 with just two single mothers, the center quickly grew as an enterprise for disadvantaged women where they could better themselves and their life opportunities. +

    +

Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nairobi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nairobi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
