    A brilliant Kenya experience

We had a great time on this tour! Watson, our guide, was knowledgeable and punctual. His knowledge of the park allowed us to see many animals up close, including lions, a cheetah and lots more. A great day all round.

A great day with amazing animals

A great day! Watson picked us up on time in the morning and drove us the short way to Nairobi National Park (we were his only clients that day, so we basically had a private tour). There we had a couple of hours to watch wildlife. Watson was in contact with rangers all the time to ensure that we went to the hot spots, for example, we saw two lions, several giraffes, rhinos and baby rhinos, crocodiles, buffalos, hundreds of zebras, ostrichs and their babies, and so many other great animals from a couple of meters distance. Watson explained a lot to us - it was very interesting and really impressive! After that, we visited the orphaned elephants - also an amazing experience. You are really close to the elephants and they are really cute. After lunch in a nice African restaurant (also suitable for vegetarians and vegans), we went to the giraffe center. I have never experienced something like this - we feeded the giraffes, which was just incredible. After that, Watson drove us back to the hotel. A great, long day - definitely worth the money-one of the best trips we did here so far, highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed and wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such an incredible day with Watson and enjoyed every part of the experience. It’s fantastic to know that you saw so much wildlife at Nairobi National Park and had memorable encounters with the elephants and giraffes. We’re especially happy that Watson’s knowledge, communication with the rangers, and attention to your experience helped make the day so special. We truly appreciate your recommendation and kind words. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Nairobi for another unforgettable adventure!

Nairobi National Park, Baby Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.

How much does Nairobi National Park, Baby Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center cost?

    +

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Nairobi National Park, Baby Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.

Is Nairobi National Park, Baby Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 66 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Nairobi National Park, Baby Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Nairobi National Park, Baby Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Nairobi National Park, Baby Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center?

    +

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Nairobi National Park, Baby Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nairobi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Wild 5-Day Safari: Magical Mara, Nakuru Wonders & Hell's Gate, 2 Days Amboseli Safari using a 4x4 Landcruiser jeep(with options), Kibera Slum Tour with Lucas. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nairobi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nairobi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
