This is a fantastic trek...

This is a fantastic trek when time is limited. The itinerary is varied and just right, and my amazing guide Shishir was super knowledgeable and I felt really safe the whole time. They put me up in a wonderful hotel in Nagarkot with a perfect view of the entire Himalayan mountain range from the roof top. Seeing the Himalayas at sunset was a highlight, as was walking through villages and woodlands on the way there and back again. Really good value for money and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Response from the operator: Dear Lis, We truly appreciate you choosing our service and are thrilled to hear that you had a fantastic time with our guide, Shishir. He will be delighted to know that you enjoyed your trip! We’re excited that loved one-night, two-day hiking journey to Nagarkot. It’s a beautiful destination, and we’re sure glad you had an amazing experience. Looking forward to serving you again in the future! Safe travels!

Nice short trekking

Nice and peaceful trekking across Nepalese villages. Got to see many beautiful farms up and down to Nagarkot. The view from the hotel View Point is amazing, visibility was as a little foggy, yet a great sightseeing. Tourist guide, Anant was very kind and share many stories about Nepalese culture, religion and traditions. It’s a great short trekking for those who enjoy the outdoors and want to feel the experience of hiking in Nepal, without much time.

Response from the operator: Dear Christa, We extend our heartfelt gratitude for choosing to embark on a trip with us. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the journey with our guide, Anant. Your valuable feedback is immensely appreciated, as it contributes to our growth in the tourism industry. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Wishing you a wonderful time in Nepal.

1 night in Nargarkot

Nargarkot is a real quiet little town where you can escape the crazy of Kathmandu. If you’re lucky you can see the whole himalaya from the top. The guide Shishir was great. Definitely worth a visit.

Response from the operator: Hi Darren, Thank you very much for taking an experience with us and glad to offer your trip in Kathmandu. We love to see you again in the future for longer holiday and feel free to contact again. Have a nice stay in Nepal. Namaste!

My awesome tour of Nagarkot

Mountain views, fresh air, birds’ song. My super guide Shishir, the great hike from Nagarkot to Nepal’s oldest hindu temple. People, dogs, pigs, goats, buffalos, cows, cats. Life in the hills with bad roads. But so happy people!

Response from the operator: Hi Hanna, Thank you for sharing you experience. Hope you will return Nepal for more tours and we are always looking forward to serve you. Namaste!

Nagarkot Trekking in Kathmandu Nepal (1 Night / 2 Days): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Nagarkot Trekking in Kathmandu Nepal (1 Night / 2 Days) cost?

+

Prices start at $250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Nagarkot Trekking in Kathmandu Nepal (1 Night / 2 Days) take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Nagarkot Trekking in Kathmandu Nepal (1 Night / 2 Days) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Nagarkot Trekking in Kathmandu Nepal (1 Night / 2 Days)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Nagarkot Trekking in Kathmandu Nepal (1 Night / 2 Days) suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 11. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Nagarkot Trekking in Kathmandu Nepal (1 Night / 2 Days)?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Nagarkot Trekking in Kathmandu Nepal (1 Night / 2 Days) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
