My best Uyuni Salt flats experience, 3 days-2 nights

Breathtaking experience - highly recommend

Excellent 3 day, 2 night tour from Uyuni ending in San Pedro. The salt flats were stunning, incredible experience which Pablo and Milton made even better. Excellent lunch right on the Salt Flats as well as snacks and drinks watching the sunset. The second day was equally special, stunning high altitude lakes with flamingos. Some of the most incredible scenery you will ever set eyes upon! Second night in high altitude lodge which was VERY basic, only 4 hours of electric, freezing cold etc etc but only option for staying up there. Third day was the Sol de Manana geysers which were incredible as well as the hot springs next to the flamingos. Amazing experience overall, would highly recommend

My best Uyuni experience-Private

We found this company to be very reliable and professional. Even when the transport I had arranged to take us from Peru to Bolivia was cancelled at the last moment, Latina Bolivia Travel Designers rearranged everything for us. I am so glad they did and we were able to take the tour in Bolivia. The organisation was seamless, the guide was friendly and informative, the driver made us feel very safe and everything went smoothly. This tour was undoubtedly the highlight of our South American holiday so far. The landscapes we saw were breathtaking.

Spectacular scenery, disappointing guide

The scenery was nothing short of spectacular and actually surpassed my expectations. We got to see so much in the 3 days, from the salt flats to the lagoons, flamingos and volcanic landscapes. The scenery alone made the trip worthwhile. Unfortunately, the guide let the experience down. We didn't really receive any briefings at the start of each day, and instead we'd arrive at a location and he'd tell us where we were and how long we had to explore. It would have been nice to have had a bit more information about the places we were visiting and what to expect each day. The biggest issue, though, was how pushy he was about us paying to visit a cave that wasn't even part of the itinerary. All five of us said we didn't want to go, but we were still driven there, made to get out of the car and then badgered into going inside. It was uncomfortable and frustrating, especially when we'd already made it clear we weren't interested. The food was another downside. It was very basic, and noticeably more basic than what I saw other groups on different tours being served. Overall, the scenery and the places we visited were incredible, and we got to see a lot in just 3 days. However, the experience would have been much better with a more engaging guide, less pressure to pay for additional activities and better food.

A fantastic trip to an incredible place

We had a fantastic time on our 3-day, 2-nights Uyuni Salt Flats trip. Our guide Cristhian was fantastic - he spoke great English, was enthusiastic and friendly and ensured we got everywhere smoothly. The pick up and drop off in Uyuni was well organised and the communication with the tour operator in the lead up to the trip was great. The trip itself was incredible, and we saw and did so much in the 3 days. The accommodation for both nights was basic but serviceable.

Great communications and Expert guidance

All of the tour operators in the salt flats visit the same places. There's really no difference in what you'll see — in fact we ran into the same people from other tour operators repeatedly on our trip. What confirmed that we made the right choice was the great communications from the team and our guide, Pablo. Our special request to end our trip in Chile was confirmed immediately and handled flawlessly. Pablo was super helpful in pushing our trip back a day after our flight was cancelled, and arranging a hotel for the night in Uyuni and a early morning catch-up transfer the next morning for one of us who was sick on arrival. We were provided with responsive messaging on whatsapp, expert guidance and flexible options. Travel in this area can be impacted by weather and flight cancellations, as ours was, and that's where Latina Boliva really shined. Highly recommended.
