Beautiful Salt Flats, but disappointing
The good: Despite snow closing the REA and not allowing the third day of the tour to happen, they communicated really well beforehand and worked with us to change plans. When we arrived they were welcoming and explained our changed Day 1. They also put us up in a hotel in Uyuni since the tour wasn’t as planned. Great that thanks to the snow, we were able to see both the normal dry season flats and areas of water. The “okay”: We joined another tour the second day and they were still able to do an overnight out on the salt flats and see the lagoons with flamingos the second day. Their third day was what we did - going out to a hot springs area towards Potosí. We were pretty disappointed as that was what I thought we’d be doing for day 2 based on our chats to change from 3 days to 2 days and we really wanted to see the lagoons and flamingos. That being said - the snow wasn’t their fault. Just super disappointed that we couldn’t see any lagoons when other groups with other agencies still did with a 2 day outing.

Brilliant trip!
Brilliant tour! Cannot recommend enough. The guide Alberto was an experienced driver, calm natured and patient with us who have minimal Spanish. Accom, food and most importantly locations for sightseeing - all great. 🌞

Phenomenal experience, great team
The most amazing 3 days we didn’t want it to end! First of all we got a night bus tomorrow Uyuni ourselves and told the team we would get in for 6 and that we could be at the office for 9:30- we got in at 5am and without asking they picked us up from the station and kept us in warmth until they got a cafe owner to open up early for us!!! The whole trip we had Juan as our tour guide- he made everything so fun and even though we aren’t Spanish experts he managed to explain everything so well to us! Every night they tried their very best to make us comfortable and warm! The food was also perfect- lots of carbs and vegetables for us vegetarians- food felt safe and good energy for the full-on days. We saw so much and honestly I hadn’t prepared for how many sightseeing things are included! Definitely recommend this group. Thank you to the whole team for all their effort and organisation that made our trip amazing!

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3-Day Salt Tour of Uyuni with Sunset and Lagoons Colorada: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Uyuni.
How much does 3-Day Salt Tour of Uyuni with Sunset and Lagoons Colorada cost?
+
Prices start at $289 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Uyuni usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3-Day Salt Tour of Uyuni with Sunset and Lagoons Colorada take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Uyuni is not rushed.
Is 3-Day Salt Tour of Uyuni with Sunset and Lagoons Colorada worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 86 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 109 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Uyuni, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Day Salt Tour of Uyuni with Sunset and Lagoons Colorada?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3-Day Salt Tour of Uyuni with Sunset and Lagoons Colorada suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 3-Day Salt Tour of Uyuni with Sunset and Lagoons Colorada?
+
Around 38 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Uyuni can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Uyuni and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-Day Salt Tour of Uyuni with Sunset and Lagoons Colorada start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Uyuni within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Uyuni?
+
On Outty we rank every Uyuni experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3-Days Tour to the Uyuni Salt Flat and Colored Lagoons +Sunset+Mirror Effect, Uyuni Salt Flat 1 Day Tour +Sunset in the Salt Water Region with Mirror Effect, Salar de Uyuni Tour 1 day with Sunset. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Uyuni?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Uyuni?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
