Explore Mumbai one bite at a time on our Mumbai Street Food Tour, enjoying authentic food and supporting local communities. To start your food trail, visit Mumbai’s most famous beach, Chowpatty, where you'll try an array of Mumbai’s best vegetarian street food while watching the sunset. Taste classics such as Pani Puri, Sev Puri, & Pav Bhaji. Further, we will have Benne Dosa Next, take a taxi to Bhuleshwar a Gujarati & Rajasthani area with local temple, spice market, and have some delicious lassi. A perfect introduction to Mumbai's incredible food scene
I did the Mumbai Street food tour on my first day in India and it was the perfect way to start my trip. The guide Javed is kind, knowledgeable and entertaining. He shared stories of life in Mumbai and provided lots of detail on the food. And there was so much food! Having a local meant I got to taste the best local street food. I rode the train, went to the beach and navigated the busy Mumbai streets. I highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review! We are so glad our Mumbai Street Food Tour was the perfect start to your India trip. It's wonderful to hear that Javed's knowledge, stories, and friendly nature made the experience so enjoyable. We' are delighted you got to explore Mumbai like a local, sample some amazing street food, and experience the city's vibrant energy. Thank you for the recommendation, and we hope to see you again on another tour! 😊

Good introduction to...
Good introduction to Indian food if you’re unfamiliar as we were. Wandering the crowded streets is an experience not to be missed.

This tour should be mandatory!
We just finished our third tour in three days with Reality and it was another “Wow” experience.! Starting off at Chowpatty beach at sunset was magical and ending with a market walk with all of the hustle and bustle was perfect! There are so many wonderful local foods to try! Raj our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Don’t leave Mumbai without taking this tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your amazing review — and for joining us on three tours in three days! That truly means a lot to us. We are thrilled to hear this was another “Wow” experience. Starting at Girgaum Chowpatty at sunset really is magical, and we are so glad you enjoyed ending the evening with the vibrant energy of the local market. Mumbai’s street food scene is incredibly special, and it’s wonderful to know you had fun exploring and tasting along the way. Raj will be so happy to hear your kind words about his friendliness and knowledge — we’ll be sure to pass your feedback on to him. Thank you for recommending the tour, and for spending your time in Mumbai with us. We hope to welcome you back again someday!

Why this scores 84
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mumbai Street Food Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.
How much does Mumbai Street Food Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mumbai Street Food Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.
Is Mumbai Street Food Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 287 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mumbai Street Food Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mumbai Street Food Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mumbai Street Food Tour?
+
Around 100 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mumbai Street Food Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mumbai?
+
On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mumbai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mumbai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
