Excellent memorable day touring temples in Mumbai
Having the opportunity to do such an inspiring tour of Hindu temples in Mumbai was a great change to the buzzing city outlook. We immersed ourselves into traditional history and customs of Hinduism. Our guide Sameer was extremely patient and accommodating, giving us plenty of time to live the atmosphere and take pictures. We agreed the tour stops with them in advance, based on our interests. Managed to see: Shree Siddhivinayak Temple (Ganesha) Global Vipassana Pagoda (stunning Buddhist temple in North Mumbai, a must see, wort the trip. We went on Sunday so not much traffic) Babulnath Temple (Shiva) Haji Ali Dargah mosque (Pass by as high tide) Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Temple (Hare Krishna) Banganga Tank They came to collect us by car at 8 am at the hotel and the driver left us right in front of each attraction, while Sameer came with us to the temples. Lots of information on local religions and customs, family life etc. Cannot recommend enough!

the best guide we could hope for
We had the privilege of touring two days with Sameer Shah he took us to the very best attractions in Mumbai, he was very accommodating designed a tour with everything we wanted to see and took out attractions that did not interest us, he made us feel perfectly safe in Mumbai, showed us very many temples, shared traditions and history and was very knoeledgeable of his culture, he even took me to buy a specific Saree I wanted to shop in a non touristic venue and help me with all translations and doubts that I could have, wére very grateful and will be coming back to tour India with him again

A Special and Enriching Experience
The Mumbai Temple Tour in a private vehicle was an incredible experience, largely thanks to our guide, Sameer, whose deep cultural knowledge, clear explanations, and warm personality made each stop genuinely meaningful. From the beautifully detailed insights he shared at every temple to his thoughtful guidance during ceremonies, Sameer elevated the tour far beyond simple sightseeing. I always felt safe, well cared for, and enriched by the history and spirituality he brought to life throughout the journey. I would enthusiastically recommend this tour — and especially Sameer — to anyone visiting Mumbai.

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mumbai Temple Tour in Private Vehicle: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.
How much does Mumbai Temple Tour in Private Vehicle cost?
+
Prices start at $113 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mumbai Temple Tour in Private Vehicle take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.
Is Mumbai Temple Tour in Private Vehicle worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mumbai Temple Tour in Private Vehicle?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mumbai Temple Tour in Private Vehicle suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mumbai Temple Tour in Private Vehicle?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mumbai Temple Tour in Private Vehicle start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mumbai?
+
On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mumbai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mumbai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
