    Street food tour in Mumbai

Our guide Ravi as well as our driver Dinesh were both very friendly and fun. We had a lovely private tour experience going to places we would’ve never found otherwise, the dosa, pani puris and the ice cream was the cherry on top!! Really fun

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re so happy to hear that Ravi and Dinesh made your private tour such a fun and enjoyable experience. It’s great to know that you got to discover places you might not have found on your own—that’s one of the best parts of exploring with local guides! And we’re especially glad you enjoyed the delicious treats along the way—the dosa, pani puri, and ice cream truly do make the experience extra special. Your kind words mean a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you again for another memorable food adventure in the future!

Amazing night with local street food

We had an amazing street food tour with Shruti as guide and Satyam as driver in Mumbai. Shruti showed us so many great places which we would probably never found on our own. Also when it comes to food in India, a local guide is essential to find the places that’s safe for the European stomach.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re so happy to hear that you had an amazing street food tour in Mumbai with Shruti and Satyam. It’s great to know that Shruti was able to take you to unique local spots that you might not have discovered on your own, making your experience even more special. We completely understand how important it is to have a knowledgeable local guide when exploring street food, especially to ensure both authenticity and safety. We’re glad Shruti could provide that comfort and confidence throughout your tour, while Satyam ensured a smooth and convenient journey. Your kind words mean a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you again for another memorable experience!

    Amazing Mumbai food tour

With this food safari, you will access food that would be so difficult to find yourself. Armaan is a massive foodie who grew up in South Mumbai, studying now at the college, so knows not only what but also where to get the best versions. Arjun was a hero driving us between locations in insane traffic and picking us up punctually from the front door of the hotel.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback! 😊 We’re thrilled you enjoyed the food safari with Armaan and Arjun, discovering hidden gems in South Mumbai and navigating the city with ease. Hope to welcome you again for more culinary adventures! 🌆✨

Mumbai Street Food Safari: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.

How much does Mumbai Street Food Safari cost?

    +

Prices start at $37 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mumbai Street Food Safari take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.

Is Mumbai Street Food Safari worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 86 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mumbai Street Food Safari?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mumbai Street Food Safari suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mumbai Street Food Safari?

    +

Around 30 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mumbai Street Food Safari start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mumbai?

    +

On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mumbai?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mumbai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
